Posted: 20 Feb 2021 03:17 AM PST Exiles and fellow PoB Warriors! TL;DR - #1 - put the shock values in your config otherwise your build will get roasted. TL;DR - #2 - if you see a build with "50% shock" from PoBPreviewBot don't automatically assume OP is full of it. EDIT: Bot hasn't replied so far so I'm not sure it will, so I can't prove....just take it with faith. ​ Flaired as "help" because there isn't a PSA or other one that helps. If you check "Is the enemy Shocked" in your PoB and do not enter a value, PoB calculates this correctly (check your "current shock" in calcs tab). However when posting here in r/PathOfExileBuilds, PoBPreviewBot will (sometimes) reply and when it does it will default to "50%". From what I understand it doesn't care about the calcs tab just what is entered. It also does not care about the maximum shock - Overshock can bump max to 60% and if using it, the bot will still post 50%. This means when you post your build, the first reaction other exiles have is "50% shock? Yeah right". Last example I found: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/lo181o/frost_bomb_elementalist/ - they have not entered a value in their PoB, bot has defaulted to 50% even though 39% is correct, and their DPS is based around 39% (if you manually enter 40% then DPS jumps up). Proofs (I hope the bot replies to this post so you can see) paging u/PoBPreviewBot in the hopes this works (it doesn't always reply) New char with nothing assigned in tree/items/etc except shaper of storms and arc, checked "shocked" and left blank. Should be 16% PoB #1: https://pastebin.com/Gmkszen7 Ran to nearest cluster and put in overshock, now 21% shock in calcs tab, still blank in config. Curious New Player Posted: 20 Feb 2021 04:42 AM PST Hello, I don't know if this is a place to ask but here's my shot.I just started the game a couple of days ago and I am loving it so far. The moment I saw the skill tree my mind was blown away. All the possibilities of builds gets that little kid in me, who loves the RPG feel, very excited. I am still learning the game but I was wondering if it would be possible to play a Witch who specializes in shooting an arrow charged with all the curses or DoTs. Basically an Archer Witch. Marauder (or not) Pure Boss Killing build? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 09:27 PM PST Currently considering those builds: BB/BF Chieftain - this kinda scares me, top end is apparently barely 20m dps, which is not enough to insta-phase bosses, it is tanky though. General's Cry Zerker - this looks kinda squishy though, top end damage seems much better though - this build is top contender actually Molten Strike Jugg - this is tanky as fuck, played previous version in harvest and it was my first build to actually reach red maps, but the damage is really really bad. My priorities are following: Clear can be non-existent - this character will never leave boss arenas after leveling. Phase bosses in few seconds Sufficiently tanky to take Sirus beam to the face and walk away unscathed Either Marauder, Assassin or Witch - have those leveled to ~90 with labs done. Good top end damage (50m+) All of that on 100ex to start (or suggest how much this would take) I intend to farm endgame bosses with this, do Sirus, invitations etc. I'm currently leaning towards that General's Cry Zerker, but I'm not sure how tanky it is really. submitted by /u/ivan0x32 [link] [comments]

Looking for a more interesting Necromancer build than the standard zombie/skelemancer Posted: 20 Feb 2021 05:02 AM PST Here I go again, trying to have fun with minions. Builds I've tried: Standard zombie/skelemancer (dull!) Exploding skeletons w/ Earendel's and Instability: satisfying, but one-button playstyle kinda wore on me Mass raise dead: i.e. attempting to summon as many zombies/skellies/spectres as possible - cool theme, playstyle is a bit too passive Arakaali's Fang: love the theme and the focus on poison, but playstyle felt like skeletons with more steps to summon them Dark Pact: like the active playstyle but the skill itself just doesn't feel impactful, and some bosses can be very tedious with skellies dying so fast Raging Spirits: Honestly I'd rather just play a normal damaging spell Builds I'm considering: Retry Arakaali's Fang (I see a neat variant that also uses lots of zombies, could be cool and more interesting than the Desecrate/Worm Jar version) Something with explosives (detonate dead zombies? Minion Instability with more than just skellies?) Can farm a little more for currency before starting a new character. Are there any good trap builds which can do end game content as well? I don't want to die 4-5 times every map and want good damage. How much currency do I need to play a trap build. I can wait until I get to that much amount. Into T-15/16 maps and he crushes the clear. I noticed though that end game content such as guardians and certain beyond bosses on higher maps are just killing me pretty much instantly. I also feel like the damage has fallen off significantly once I start trying to add some juice to the high tier maps. Just looking for some suggestions or pointers on how I can improve this character to make him a little more reliable in terms of farming up higher content, and if that's just not possible maybe an idea of a build that can? I don't want anything that's super broken or anything, just want to be capable of playing and doing all content and most bossing. Posted: 20 Feb 2021 03:05 AM PST I am currently running my leaguestarter TR PF, pretty straightforward build so far, with me following a bunch of guides and people on poe ninja trying to figure out what works. managed to get up until T16, but now am having a hard time clearing harder maps and surviving many encounters. at this point, every upgrade infront of me is worth a few exalts, and since it takes me a long while to craft them, I would like to get some guidance on where my money would be best spent. currently have a little over 10ex to invest.The current problems im facing is dying alot in t16 maps, chimera kicked my utter ass. mostly because i wasted my Hybrid flask on mana, without it im running out of mana instantly, losing me alot of dps. So goals are: Better Despair OH ring, Better Jewels, +4 Empower, having TR cost 0 mana, and improving flasks.Could also probably get another set of clusters. Question is, What should i do first? what would be your upgrade order if you were me?End goal is i want to clear all content on this toon, never killed sirus, shaper etc and would really like it to change.
