| Extremely Slow Queue Processing Posted: 16 Apr 2021 01:16 PM PDT UPDATE/TL;DR: Queue currently fixed. There was an hour of it going super slowly. We will make sure this never happens again. ORIGINAL POST: When the Ultimatum league started this morning, it was immediately apparent that the login queue was moving quite slowly. We are investigating this, and so far it appears that the reason is that this league's character migrations (which are a process that runs when a character logs in, to convert it to the new internal version) are much slower than normal. Users are getting in and the game is stable once they are through the queue, but it's going to take a while for the queue to clear and we're very sorry about that. We're acutely aware that a similar problem occurred last league launch and we thought we had resolved it. Queue processing should speed up as more characters are converted, and we are trying to find other solutions that will help in the meantime. Once again, we're very sorry about the delayed start to the league for most users. We will make sure that this never happens again. We will update this thread as more information is known! EDIT: We have a plan! This may result in people not having past league progress in Standard until we can catch up with that, but should massively speed up the queue for people logging in to Ultimatum (which is 99% of users right now). | GGG Streamer Priority in Queue Posted: 16 Apr 2021 01:32 PM PDT Hi Guys, Let's make one thread to discuss this since we are all a bit peeved by the fact that GGG chose to give streamers priority over regular players as many of us are DCing at log in. I'm personally quite upset at the double standard. Edit: Lot's of traction very quickly. I think it's important to note that many non-streamers pay money to support GGG and this game. We all support the things we love in different ways. We all love this game and the fact that many players are being DC'd and stuck in a 100K plus queue while streamers are given free reign just feels like a slap in the face is all. Edit2: Peiplays brings up a great point. Keep it cordial in everyone's chats boys. " I dont blame the streamers - i blame GGG - i get it from a business standpoint it's not a good look to have 100k+ people look at a login screen on a stream (which is about the total viewership of the big streamers that got the skip) at the same time .. The general rule is that: the faster you are, the less you want to pick up, because in the time you'd take care of a higher quantity of items, you can kill more monsters and get a higher chance at expensive loot and experience. You can start with Regular/Semi-Strict first (great for new players and leagues) and simply up the strictness from the option menu, once you feel like you want to see less.

| Appeal of the Russian-speaking community Path Of Exile to the developers Posted: 16 Apr 2021 04:59 AM PDT Greetings to all. I hope this post will be read by someone from the administration of Path Of Exile. It is far from a secret that the translation into Russian of the game leaves much to be desired. I think many of the Russian-speaking community will agree with me. Many of us would like to play in our native language, but many of us who know at least a little English play in English. There are some reasons for this, which I will describe below:
As you can see - I am leading to the fact that proper names should have the title of the original in the Latin alphabet. Almost all Russian-speaking people have no problems with the perception and reading of Latin alphabet. This would lead to a qualitative change to the game that would make the gameplay easier for newbies. A similar solution can be seen in some online games. For example, in Dota 2, all proper names in the Russian translation are kept in English, and the community of this game has no difficulties with the perception of names and contributes to more productive multilingual interaction. It would be very nice to see this change in the Russian-language localization of the game. As for the first problem. I would like to ask people playing in Russian. If you notice such problems - leave feedback in the section "Ошибки перевода" on the official site. Together we can make our game a little better! Thanks for attention! UPDATE. As I understand it, localization is a global problem for all languages. Almost everyone plays in English. It remains to be hoped that the developers will pay attention to the problems of localization and in the near future we will see global changes in this direction. Приветствую всех. Надеюсь данный пост прочтет кто-нибудь из представителей администрации Path Of Exile. Далеко не секрет, что перевод на русский язык игры оставляет желать лучшего. Думаю многие из рускоязычного сообщества будут со мной согласны. Многие из нас хотели бы играть на нашем родном языке, однако многим из нас, кто хотя бы немного знает английский язык, играет на английском. Этому есть несколько причин, которые я опишу ниже:
Как можно заметить - я веду к тому, что имена собственные должны иметь название оригинала на латинице. Практически все рускоязычные люди не имеют проблем с восприятием и чтением латинцы. Это бы привело к качественным изменениям в игре, которые бы упростили игровой процесс для новичков. Подобное решение можно увидеть некоторых онлайн играх. Например в Dota 2 все имена собственные на английском языке в русском переводе и у комьюнити данной игры нет сложностей с восприятием наименований и способствует более продуктивному мультиязычному взаимодействию. Было бы очень приятно увидеть данное изменение в русскоязычной локализации игры. Что касается первой проблемы. Я бы хотел попросить людей, играющих на русском. Если вы замечаете подобные проблемы - оставляйте обратную связь в разделе "Ошибки перевода" на оффициальном сайте. Мы вместе можем сделать нашу игру немного лучше! Спасибо за внимание! ОБНОВЛЕНИЕ. Thanks to this not so wonderful person I went from 7k in queue to 99k Not too pleased, next time you want to tell someone to rejoin your extremely slow queue system you know you're having issues with because you're testing out some new streamer priority queue system, how about you tell them in private and not jebait potentially thousands of other people in that public chat.
