    Does anyone know why defence is slowly being killed off? Im talking about nerfs to jugg, nerfs to the passive tree, soul of steel, nerfs to tricksters defences, nerfs to defensive flasks and nerfs on equipment.

    I can't think of a unique item that is a chase defence item, as lightning coil used to be, or kaom's pre-influence, alot of unique flasks and so on. I was theory crafting a bit on poe database, and I found all these flat % reduced physical damage taken nodes, on boots, quivers and a few other slots, that all had been removed and is now legacy. And nothing to substitute them with in exchange.

    I wonder why... Why should you not be able to invest to much into defence, and be able to crawl trough content slow, with very low efficiency? The reversed situation seems to me even more wrong... is it better to just build offence, and blast trough a map, including the boss, in under 5 minutes, without taking damage, not because your superior defence, but because 99 out of a 100 enemies dies before even laying a eye on you?

    I tried to build a dungeon crawler character, and yes, it is slow, and yes, it is a zpds build, and yes, it sucks. That is fine. But what is not fine is that it can not tank... the character still just randomly gets vaporized and ceases to exist. It just seems superior to build offence and fight for half a second then to build defence and make it a 20-30 second battle.

    Explain it to me as if I was a golden retriever or a small child, please.

    Seduced by damage

    Every league I look for a build to play at league start. The last couple I have told myself to make sure that it has some defences and next thing you know I'm following some build guide that promises huge damage and almost ignores defence. Then I find myself in a position where I can't get the currency I need to get the items to get the damage because I keep dying. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on what to do differently?

    The other day I was watching a vid on someones build and one of their items said "deals 40% more damage to closer targets" or something similar, was a slam build, can't for the life of me remember what that buff was called, can anyone help this idiot? Wording might have been slightly diff my memory is fading in old age haha! Thanks!

    New Player - Playing Spectre (Requesting Advice).

    Greetings all,

    I am fairly new to the game and naturally playing through the acts ended up with a minion/spectre build. I have just done some reading and watching on the spectre build and pretty much everyone is saying go crabbies or syndicate operatives. Now I really cant find any video explaining how to progress to the areas where I can find these mobs ?

    Is anyone able to share some information on where I can find these mobs or alternatively is there any other nice mobs to be controlling as spectres ?
