Friendly reminder for all of you starting with bow builds: there's a vendor recipe for Hyrri's Bite Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:46 AM PDT The most iconic quiver which is a godsend, being able to equip it from level 10 has a vendor recipe that isn't usually attainable at level 10 unless the league mechanic is very good towards us like ultimatum was. So this is the recipe:
So, i was able to get everything i needed from ultimatums in the first zone from act2, right after you defeat Merveil. You won't receive a gemcutters directly but you will receive gems with quality, so you can sell those (need to sell gems worth of 40% accumulated quality in order to receive a gemcutter prism). Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:24 AM PDT With this league winding down, there are a ton of posts in this sub along the lines of "Builds for SSF?" and "Will -insert build here- work in SSF?." There are a couple of things that are universal for SSF that it is important to understand in regards to those kinds of questions. The first, and most often stated, is the avoidance of relying on uniques. This is a pretty easy thing to grasp. Even the most common uniques can be difficult to find in SSF, especially if they do not have an easily farmable div card. Builds that have a "build defining unique" will be difficult to start with, or even downright impossible in some cases. Another important point that is often not stated is that many builds have fairly high "breakpoints" where the build becomes actually usable. A decent example of builds like this are brand builds (other than arma brand). They currently rely pretty heavily on brand clusters to be usable. You can farm delirium in harbor bridge or BA for cluster jewels, but that's a decent road block to starting with that build. The same goes for builds that rely on specific influenced mods. This doesn't mean you can't start with builds that have some of these requirements, but it does mean that you will probably have a more difficult time if you do. Many uniques, such as pledge of hands, have farmable div cards that you can work towards (not to mention the fusings needed to link a unique), and many "breakpoint" builds can be played (very) sub-optimally before hitting those breakpoints. However, it's often better to start with a build than can progress mainly on life/resist rares, and then farm for a new build, or choose a second build based on what you drop. Lastly, in my opinion, the best place to look for inspiration for builds is checking poe.ninja. Check SSF and HCSSF at different points in the latest league, such as a couple days into league and a week into it. This will give a good overview of what other players are doing. My current recommendations for starter builds in SSF would be slams, ED/C, poison BFBB, archmage cremation, and TR/CA, in that order, and with the caveat that nerfs will almost certainly hit some or all of these. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 04:29 AM PDT Hey everyone. I've really been wanting to do a self cast chieftain that can make use of both herald of ash buffs. Not really interested in any flat phys spells so I was left with purifying flame, which after a quick PoB and watching a couple vids didn't look fun to play. The idea is to be centric on HoA so it can't be a dot as it won't overkill. This eventually led me to GC as with avatar of fire and a pyre ring or CtF gem we get easy conversion, and also enabling hatred in the build. I'm away from my PC at the moment so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for mechanics or uniques that would be effective for this build. I am aiming for a league start with this so a well rounded but not top tier build, preferably at least a mil single target, and decently tanky. Some aoe modifiers as well if I can get them! Thanks [link] [comments]
Defense suggestions on a max rage fire berserker Posted: 03 Jul 2021 07:43 AM PDT Hey guys I'm sort of new to the game, or at least making my own builds. I wanted to make a max(>90) rage fire berserker. I'm struggling to stay alive in Ultimatums with white or yellow maps and can clear red maps if I'm careful. I've attached the POB pastebin. Defensive layers are 5 endurance charges, fortify, armor, with vaal grace. [link] [comments]
Looking for a automatic-cast build that looks visually overwhelming and impressive. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 07:01 AM PDT Basically, something like volatile undead, where you can spawn dozens of those giant fireballs, but without the need to cast anything (so I can just walk through the map like a lazy boi). Lancing steel is another one that counts because the screen ends up being overwhelmed by little needles. I want my screen to be filled up with insane visuals that cover the map as much as possible. I also want to cast not at all, once, or as few times as humanly possible. Capable of doing most content if not all. Pretty much the only things I'm interested in! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 06:45 AM PDT Hey guys, I was thinking about a creeping frost shotgun build, I saw some rangers on Poe.ninja using it but they also use tornado shot. I don't think that's what I had in mind. I googled it and I couldn't find a guide for this idea, only two videos from fastaf, and honestly I don't like their builds. But it looks like they're using it like what I had in mind. Any ideas how this could work? As far as I know the damage comes from the overlapping AOE. How do I scale the damage? The only thing I can think of is to use as much projectiles as possible. But do I push cold damage or just projectile damage? Or something else? Thank you in advance for your help. Posted: 02 Jul 2021 08:29 PM PDT I'm new to SSF and I've only played two leagues before this so I don't have the best game knowledge but I'm wondering what you guys think the best League Starters are going to be for SSF in 3.15? Right now I'm considering playing Toxic Rain Raider/PF, Raise Spectre Necromancer or BFBB Chieftain. I want to play something with good clear and mobility. If it scales well it's all bonus but obviously if I drop something huge for a particular build I don't mind rerolling. All advice is appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 03:21 AM PDT https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3085369 I want to League start with it seeing how budget it is and looks pretty safe. Any major roadblocks assuming nothing major is nerfed? [link] [comments]
If BB/BF gets nerfed to death in 3.15 what could be the best option for Poison Assassin builds? Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:57 AM PDT Early theorycrafting, I know many will say "wait for patch notes" but I think it's not too early to start an early examination of the options:
Is there any other option which I have not considered? ATM I am seriously thinking of league starting with Rain of Arrows poisoner next league. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jul 2021 11:22 PM PDT HI Ive hit a brick wall at 300 delve and I would like to progress to 400 if possible with minimum investment, if not I will reroll as a vortex/creeping frost occultist :) Thanks for any and all feedback. [link] [comments] |
