It's time to theorycraft the ultimate melee totems Posted: 16 Jul 2021 03:29 AM PDT Salutations Exile. With Earthbreaker support announced, I spent an hour or so going over each slam skill gem in the game and comparing their effectiveness, fun, and meme capability. Obviously Leap Slam totems is the top dog, but I have a slightly more reserved idea. Consecrated Path totems. Flashy, teleporting, slamming, jamming totems covering your screen with holy fire and consecrated goodness. Now, I'm going to need some ideas for this. A crusade is a team effort after all. Firstly, the Ascendancy. Chieftain is the obvious choice due to it's synergy with totems, fire damage and strength in general. But there may be alternatives. Perhaps an Inquisitor, or an Ascendant? As a league starter, there are slightly fewer options when it comes to melee totems. Facebreakers, Hollow palm and BLS are probably out of the question for the first few days, which begs the question, how to proceed? Scaling flat phys or fire? Full fire conversion? Maximum coverage vs maximum single target? Effectiveness of consecrated ground? Strength stacking with BLS and Tukohama's Fortress? Large 2H weapon for the totems to scale off of? Totem damage and effectiveness? Auras? We're going to think through it all, for the good of our Holy brethren. Deus Vult. [link] [comments] | ||

But I'm not sure how she would do with a regular triad conversion build since they seem to love to press on the fact she makes stuff bleed. So I wondered how can you scale minion bleeds? Are the hunter affixes we already have working for summons? And what kind of link would you give her. I was thinking something like Summon Reaper - Minion Damage - Predator - Brutality - Melee Phys - Melee Splash/Maim, and have Feeding Frenzy zombies/skellies/Carrion Golem on the side to support and feed her. Posted: 15 Jul 2021 09:52 PM PDT Hey all, before seeing the trailer today I was thinking about a bow toxic rain build for my SSF starter but I wanted to try something crit for a starter. Storm Rain was the skill that interested me the most out of all of them in the trailer and I was wondering if anyone has thought about using that skill at all. Since I'm playing SSF some of my ideas will be more geared towards that. •Windripper (farmable thru div cards) seems like it could be used. I think quant/rarity is underutilized especially on SSF too as an added bonus. •I'm thinking Raider will be strong for this skill, especially for taking this build into red maps/ endgame bosses. % dodge for spell and attack + perma-phase is huge thru Quartz Infusion. EXPOSURE, ailment immunity and -accuracy to enemies with Avatar of the Veil. Finally, 150% effect Onslaught and 35% increased evade with Rapid Assault + Avatar of the Curse. •Conductivity on hit ring can be gotten early thru delve. •Could go the way of Aspect of the Cat with a Farrul's item. •Stormcharger boots gives 30% phys to lightning conversion, seems really hard to get 100% tho (also not really sure of the benefits of conversion). https://i.imgur.com/X05KtG7.png [link] [comments] | ||

On top of that, battlemage's cry gives crit chance and allows attacks to be effected by spell damage modifiers. Could be fun. [link] [comments] | ||

Good shield would bring insane base damage on that and getting defensive and having movement skill nicely available this looks like a very good league starter? Facebreakers/abyssus(softcore, dont get hit). +1 End charges Kaoms roots so freeze is non issue(potentially death's door if i feel i dont need to worry about freeze. Still leaves Rings/Amulet for flat phys/res, and a belt/+1 totem shield. I havent played a facebreaker build in maybe 2 years, so not sure if they still have good damage, or if im better off with a 2h weapon(staff maybe for some block and a second 6l setup for a warchief totem or even a kaoms heart) Ascendancy - Ngahamu->Ramako->Arohongui->Tasalio(maybe respec into Tukohama or Valako when i get the resists sorted out) [link] [comments] | ||

"Lobs an exploding projectile near the targeted location, and extra projectiles toward enemies around you. The projectiles deal Chaos damage based on your Life and Energy Shield. Posted: 16 Jul 2021 02:02 AM PDT In terms of pure damage, Necromancer feels like a better fit for Absolution than Guardian. Unnatural Strength buffs Absolution directly, presumably also including the Sentinels of Absolution and the Absolution they use, Commander of Darkness grants cast speed, and Mistress of Sacrifice with Flesh Offering compounds that even more. With Empower, Absolution is at minimum a lv 24 or 25 skill gem, and can hit even higher depending on what items are equipped. At the moment, I don't see the other Necro nodes fitting nicely into such a build, but any other ideas? EDIT: u/Terrible_Machine9 had an idea for an offering-based Necromancer, and I'm wondering if some of that flavour can be replicated here. Given that Absolution is a physical to lightning spell, sources of Phys gained as Chaos like Unholy Might, Spirit Offering, and Disintegrator seem to be a great fit for this build, doing primarily lightning and chaos damage. Since Absolution takes some of the pressure off you to deal damage and use skills, Disintegrator's degen feels more manageable, and Replica Eternity Shroud seems a pretty good fit overall, removing any need to debuff chaos resist. Anyone has any experiences scaling phys gained as chaos alongside a conversion? [link] [comments] | ||

My idea immediately was to use the new blade trap skill as a poison delivery system for assassin and make the most condensed trree ever but if I'm not mistaken about 1/2 the assassin ascendency is off limits to traps because YOU have to apply the damage for noxious strike, YOU have to kill for mistwalker, and "poisons YOU inflict" disqualifies toxic delivery.
