    The projectile damage medium cluster is really sleeper for FR totems, tons of good nodes on there, but especially shrieking bolts which provide taunt on hit AND 35% projectile damage. Turning my army of 10k HP totems into taunting tanks solving any defense problems.

    The other nodes on jewel are really juicy too, Eye2Eye is basically a 60% dmg increase, and streamline gives important projectile speed. Overall I like this much better than a 2nd totem cluster.

    The only problem is that this leaves space for only 1 totem cluster jewel - which is all you need really, assuming you can get both chaos res and onslaught nodes on it XD.

    Just ran a test with and without duration by starting a timer from when one of my zombies disappears and when she loses the buff animation and it went from ~7 seconds to ~9 with a level 2 duration gem!

    My Lightning Strike Raider Progression so far

    Made a (not so short) video about me league starting as Lightning Strike Raider.Been pretty smooth especially once I crafted a basic claw with Lightning Damage and Attack Speed.

    TL,DW;
    Dual Wield for cool kids, Shield for more survivability
    Craft Claws with Wrath essences, preferably a decent claw base with fractured attack speed
    Crafted ele pen on those is massive boss dps, dont gimp on that
    Get +1 Strike Target gloves ASAP. Hunter Mod, ilvl80. 120 alts on average, saves like 13 skill points
    Nightblade Support is the best skill gem in our setup (if you go crit)

    Return of the Bodyswap totems (Chieftain)

    With the changes to monsters HPs, our damage reduction and survivability, I think it's time to dust off my Bodyswap chieftain. I cannibalized this one from an obscure 3.1 and 3.9 builds, where the first one was truthful, the other had half the damage boosted in typical POB warrior, fashion and was crit based, and brought it to the modern age of 3.15.

    POB Settings: Shaper, no bullshit damage multipliers

    Flask off, (except MS-old one).

    Vaal auras off

    Vaal RF Off

    Hexproof (curse off)


    Skills:

    Wave of conviction mine ON (Fire exposure)

    Siphoning trap ON (based on condition of enemy affected, not hit or kill)

    Enduring cry, set to BURST settings in life regen calculation mode.


    Charges:

    Power, Frenzy charges ON (charged traps, condition: trigger)

    Enduring charges ON (Duh, you are chieftain with enduring cry)

    Items:

    7 out of 13 lvl 20 Curse ON (Soul Mantle)

    Enemy hindered (Singularity)- not sure if it does something but hey.


    Others:

    Onslaught ON (Condition, summon totem).

    Lost endurance charge in the past 8s ON (cwdt immortal call)

    Stop taking damage from Dot recently ON (Shaper degen balls)

    Taken fire damage from enemy hit recently ON (15% from hits taken as fire ascendancy)

    Ignore the -99% unreserved life, POB cannot calculate free life aura.


    Now, that we've got this out of the way, let me tell you what this build can provide you:


    CHEAP!

    Based on current prices (7/27)

    Singularity 1c

    Tukohama Fortress 2.8 ex and rising (Not needed, since we are running both of the keystones, just get 30-60c +1 totem rare shield, the damage loss is minimal).

    Malachai's Awakening 10c

    Soul Mantle 6l 4.7 ex (Not really needed, you can easily run it on 5L for 20c and lose about 10-15% shaper dps).

    2x Kikazaru 10c total

    self flagellation 3c

    Clear mind 15c

    Cluster jewel (5ex, with one notable 50-100c) Again, if you don't use it, you lose about 5% damage and onslaught, so nothing to be worried about)

    rare gear: Gloves boots amulet belt. You get 100% fire res from ascendancy and the res from tree, so look for cold, lightning and chaos res. I can't tell you how expensive it is because this cannot be predicted.


    MANA sustain issues introduced in 3.15

    Mana is a dirty word, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD


    Defences and benefits:

    Almost 6K life

    6K BURST life regen, 2-7k normal life regen, 1k if you haven't take damage from dot recently)

    Each totem leeches to you 1.7K when they explode and 1.2k when they explode corpses

    You are not running labyrinth, you are on a Sunday stroll.

    100% CURSE IMMUNITY! (rings + tree)

    100% PHYSICAL REFLECT IMMUNITY (No phys damage)

    100% (ish) ELE REFLECT IMMUNITY (Your totems will die anyway, that's their purpose)

    100% STUN IMMUNITY (Unwavering stance)

    100% IGNITE IMMUNITY (ascendancy)

    EFFECTIVELY 60-80% BLEED DAMAGE REDUCTION (Corrupted blood included), due to massive regen, leech and 75% less physical damage taken from immortal call

    EFFECTIVELY 50-70% POISON REDUCTION (↑)

    100% OVERCAPED ELE AND CHAOS RESISTANCE

    BUDGET TEMPORAL CHAIN (Nearby enemies hindered with 25% MS reduction)

    FORTIFY (Shield charge)

    and a bit of armour


    FULLY TWEAKABLE

    If you are still dying, you can drop 30% of your damage for Vitality aura. You can change your helm, your weapon, your shield, you can use alternate skill gems, you can use whatever flasks you want (Wise oak recommended)


    Cons:

    Active play style. You will not sit on your ass and watch Netflix, this build requires frequent recasting or totems and desecrate, but you can afford running around.

    Manual ele curse. It's a damage bonus only used with tough ecounters, but some people might find it annoying

    Siphoning trap and wave of conviction mine. Sometimes the targeting is bit wonky and you need to recast to trigger them.

    You can kill yourself if you are in a reaaaly bad (like SNAFU level) situations. One totem costs 226 life to cast and we have 4 of them, which means to cast 4 of those you need to pay 900 life. Luckily, after that they don't cost anything because they are not considered as trigger.

    Damage. POB is really weird when it comes to this, but basically you will have about 300-500k shaper DPS. Might be more or less, I didn't kill shaper this league yet :D


    Welp this turned out a bit longer than I expected, but it also helped me to summarize this build in my head.

    Was kinda unsure about conc path totems, but after getting some damage and 100% activation range from chieftain, its actually pretty awesome! Still leveling it and looks great. And yes they do slam offscreen after getting the ascendacy.

    Next, what do you want to/did you make for your second build and why?

    Lastly, I've always wanted to make a brand build, but everyone says they got hit hard by the nerfs, did any brand builds survive and are going good for anyone? I'd be really interested to try one if it's still going well this league. Was looking at either Armageddon brand, or storm brand, open to other options if viable.

    any good scion builds? ascendant has always been my favorite to play as im currently playing exsanguinate and i cant really find a great guide for it but any skill gem builds with a well thought out guide works for me :)

    PSA: use fury valve on eye of winter, it's good

    I went to standard to see how they interact and i was plesently surprised:

    You still shoot all the projectiles like normal so the downside of fury valve doesn't appy. That said not every projetile splits but one at random from the final explosion still does split.

    Basically you get +2 projectiles on an amulet with no downside + one random projetile will split into a shotgun of death

    Hope they don't fix it at least until 3.16 and i hope i can get one in time since i'm playing SSF

    Reaper build

    Question with Seismic trap (3.15)

    So with the changes to seismic trap:

    "Seismic Trap:

    • Now deals 65 to 98 Physical Damage at gem level 1 (previously 47 to 70), up to 853 to 1280 at gem level 20 (previously 610 to 914).
    • The small bursts now have a radius of 9 (previously 7).
    • The large bursts now have a radius of 18 (previously 12).
    • Wave frequency now scales with Increases and Reductions to Trap Throwing Speed instead of Cast Speed."

    My question is; with the changes to Seismic trap being affected by throwing speed scaling the frequency of waves, does this mean that Slavedriver's hand/Architect's hand effect of "Increases and Reductions to Cast Speed also Apply to Trap Throwing Speed" also scale the frequency for seismic trap?

    Expedition Mechanics - how do you counter them?

    This topic should be build-agnostic, but i will use my experience as example, so heres a short rundown to explain my problems.

    Build Info: Impale Shield Crush Slayer. Shamelessly plugged from https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/ork4vg/impale_shield_crush_gladiator_t4_map_veritania/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 have seen this vid and rerolled for it. Rushed through campaign in 4 1/2 hours, after some mapping i'm level 80 now and happy.

    Props to /u/OMFGaTaco2 for saving my League.

    Overall Shield crush is a beast and works like advertised. Personal change was Slayer for more AoE, and using Lord of Steel for clear. Made it to yellow maps, currently Kills Map Bosses in a couple of hits, defenses work well (16k Armor, 60% Block, +1% Max Resistance, 10% reduced while Leeching, 3 Endurance Charges, Molten Shell, currently 5k life, aiming for ~7.5k)

    Expedition:

    Build is tanky and has no problems in normal maps. But as Soon as there's expedition, the problems begin. (And no, i'm reading the buffs and careful consider which ones i can afford to add.)

    Ward - absorbs lots of damage, seems to counteract leech. Also wards for mob doesn't seem to fill up every 5 seconds, but seems to be up every hit. Especially deadly when combined with block, makes a lot of rares outright unkillable. This results in some mobs disabling leech completely, which means you're down to auto attacking, which in turn means you'll never break the ward and die due to running out of mana and being unable to use skills.

    This is probably a thing that can be fixed by raw numbers, aka dps check. But then again when you kill the normal map bosses in a couple of hits, damage can't really be that shitty?

    "Shield Remnants" - there is a type of mob that carries an force-field-style shield and follows you. They turn so fast that they're always facing you and as long as that shield is down you simply can't hit them. Even worse: they block damage not only for them, but for everything behind them too.

    They reshape their force field into a spear for attacking, when they do that can damage them. Issue is: You basically are forced to melee them. Which wouldn't be an issue if these were the only ones.

    If those show up it's basically log out immediately. combined with a rare with aura or the freeze remnants you're basically dead, since the flask only covers 1 second freeze immunity, but the shield remnants take 2 seconds to raise the shield, so before you can damage a mob between the shield remnants you're frozen again and your flasks are out of charges.

    Similar with Aura rares, that buff everyone so that they're really dangerous but you can't do any damage.

    This mob type is kind of like a Proximity Shield, but it only lifts when they're attacking.

    So my questions are:

    1. What do you struggle with?
    2. How do you deal with those mechanics?

    I checked Poe ninja 90% + of their damage is cold blue in color but why they have so many items that add lightning damage instead of cold ?

    Lightning Strike Raider - Question about converting

    Hey y'all was hoping a kind individual could answer a single question for me.

    I am playing Lightning Strike Raider and my god do I love this build, fantastic all around. So I was perusing poe ninja builds and I was noticing all the people with the highest DPS had no physical damage, so obviously 100% converted.

    I can't figure out the final 50% conversion. 50% from LS itself, no one is using the 50% cold conversion gloves. Where are they converting the final 50%? I can't find anything on the tree, gloves are either not hrimsorrow nor have any of the mods that change phys to lightning.

    Any help would be great!.. because I want to get rid of my Hrimsorrows!

    Looking at poe-racing. The first person to reach lvl. 100 was an occultist with a build I dont understand at all. Anyone got a guide to the archtype or can explain what he is doing?

    I look at his build and I cannot make any sence of it at all.. Bane in a 4-link with Frostbite and Conductivity? Gloves that seem to cast Animate Guardian on a trigger? He seems to be leveling "Raise Spectre on his weapon swap, is this to sell or to use in build?" Anyone got any idea how this build works (what spells does he actually cast, how can it kill stuff?)

    Shield Crush - Berserker, or Gladiator?

    Explosive Concoction build or something for PF?

    I only manage to league start today and I didn't have any idea what to play. I reached maps with a PF CA + TR ballista which is not something I wanna keep playing.

    I am not really sure what to play tho, and this new Explosive Concoction gem looked interesting. But there are only 3 people playing it on poe.ninja.

    Was wondering if anyone knows of any decent guide (as I don't know enough about the game to figure it out myself) or what other alternatives I'd have.
