"Budget" starting point for standard cold flicker raider/slayer growth character? Posted: 09 Sep 2021 07:27 PM PDT Cold flicker looks like the ultimate growth build right now for standard, with more interesting itemization imo than attribute stackers or aura stackers. I've got a HH and at least one or two raiders/slayers in the early 90s. What's the lowest budget setup that would still feel good for endgame maps and bosses? Is awakened multistrike essential? Replica farruls for slayer? 200 ex paradoxica? What could I put together for, say, 100-200 ex in standard? Preferably closer to 100 ex, with some wiggle room for stuff I could plausibly save up for in league, like replica farruls which is only 20ish ex in league compared to 100+ in std. How will the ascendancies compare starting at the "budget" version and onward as I start getting powerful upgrades, like an ice bite replica shako, precursor's emblem, legacy +1 frenzy corrupt amulet and boots, better life rolls, higher levels, etc.? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated before I put together a PoB! What are the best skill gems for scaling Decay?From how I understand Decay works, these seem to be the top contenders. I'll probably end up doing separate bossing and clearing skills; e.g., Storm Burst for bossing, Arc for clearing.

Budget phys trapper for bosses? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 04:08 AM PDT Hi, I want to reroll my ice trap sabo into a phys trapper. I want to keep it budget both to simulate a possible future league start environment and get practice, and also because this isn't for farming feared or something, just killing the occasional Sirus/Conqueror/Shaper/Metamorph/Elder guardian that my mapping character runs across. I know that variations of the build are being tested for gauntlet as well, but I couldn't find a guide that puts all the recent changes, testing, and tech together to create a budget version. Most of the info was from leaguestart or previous, and the trees and items seem either unoptimized or non-budget. Anyone have a PoB, character link, guide, etc.? Or can contribute a short one? It would be highly appreciated. I understand the basic idea is to use seismic trap + Cold Iron Point, +phys gem scaling, possibly +1/2 gems chest, +gems amulet, to scale seismic trap. Also use life to cast the traps to get around mana issues. And I guess exsanguinate for clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: The versions on Poe.ninja are too expensive and the ones being practiced by streamers etc. don't make it to poe.ninja due to the fact that we are late in the league. There was some good info from Tarkecat at league start but his version was both non crit, non optimized, and more for ssf. I can do t16 alched maps with 1-2 deaths, but I die frequently on bosses due to 1hit. Especially Sirus in phase 3 I have scored a ring I managed to sell for 60ex off a Ritual, so now I have about 80 ex to spend bettering this build. Here is my POB: I would greatly appreciate any advise, what can I do to make this more survivable. If anyone have any pieces they would like to sell and/or give away please let me know. Getting Ignite DoT Multi from crits? Posted: 09 Sep 2021 07:44 AM PDT I posted here a few weeks ago about recovering some of my Armageddon Brand Ignite damage after the patch (I went from about 3mil to 300k). Here is my current character loaded directly into PoB with minor skill tree tweaks. A lot of people told me to abandon the build, that it was dead etc. I knew I had shitty gear and even after the nerfs I can still kill A9 Conquerers with low mods. I know that the damage and survivability is there for this build, I just need help finding it. The map clear on this build feels amazing, and it's quite tanky I just need some better gear and jewels. Today I come to you with a new pitch for where I will get my damage from and another request with help getting that damage to reflect accurately in PoB. Fire medium clusters lost their dot multi and it became just burning damage. The loss of the DoT Multi is where I lost most of my damage back. So I started looking at other clusters to scale damage differently when I came across the Critical Strike medium clusters. They have: Haemorage +10% to damage over time multiplier for crits 30% increased Crit Eye of the Storm +10% to Damage over Time Multiplier for Crits 40% Increased Critical strike chance. There is also a new support called "Critical Strike Affliction" support which gives +93% to Dot Multi for critical strikes at 20/20. My DoT Multi for Non crits is around 200, and that's sufficient to quickly clear maps. Where I need the DPS is on bosses. The way ignites work is only the biggest ignite deals damage at any given time. Now there are some nuances going on with my build. Armageddon brand is not like other ignite applying skills. All other ignite skills require additional input from the player to reapply the ignite but a single Armageddon Brand will apply multiple ignites to a target over it's lifetime. This repeated igniting allows us to use Replica Emberwake without the lowered duration feeling bad and it lets us get back the "Ignites you inflict deal damage X% faster" we lost on cluster notables. That is what made me think about how fast my Armageddon Brand hits. If it hits fast enough to crit consistently before my "critical ignite" duration runs out then functionally on bosses my ignites always use my crit ignite multi to deal damage. Issues: I can't use Elemental Overload and I had to swap out Unbound Ailments for Critical Strike Affliction. I swapped Unbound Ailments because it had the lowest Multiplier. There are other upgrades I'm still farming to get, like Transcendent Mind (I just need the altar, I have the jewel and vials), a +2 gems amulet (Awakener orbs are 10-14ex on console but that's all I need, I've already rolled the amulets to awaken together), and a flammability on hit ring. I also have been toying with the idea of swapping out of blood magic, maxing out my reserved mana and using Eldritch Battery for my spell casting. I've also got a Divine Flesh timeless jewel I've thought about using, but I need block/dodge if I'm gonna do that. It would also let me quit using my Legacy Loreweave and get a better chest. It is possible for me to get to phase acrobatics and acrobatics if I swap to EB and move my clusters to the opposite side of the tree, so I might look into that. I just have to be careful with Divine Flesh because currently a lot of my survivability comes from the 2500 life Elemental Aegis, and taking DF will make half the elemental damage I take go to my life instead. Any advice or tinkering offered would be greatly appreciated. I've scoured tons of other builds and have my mind on the items I need from them, but most people just gave up on ignite and there definitely isn't anybody doing a crit ignite build that I can take inspiration from. I've spent a lot of time on this build (compared to other stuff I play) and it's one of my favorite I've ever played. Before the patch I comfortably maxed out my atlas with it and had started dipping my toes into doing The Hidden fights. This is also the first character I've ever beaten a Sirus higher than A5 on. I know that somewhere in the complexity of this game there is a way to reclaim this character's damage to pre-patch levels. I just need some help finding it, and I hope my strange build choices will inspire you as well. I do have a budget of around 45ex, but that won't buy me as much as it will on PC. Need help with Lightning Arrow build (Gear/crafting advice) Posted: 09 Sep 2021 01:48 PM PDT So I've decided a bow Raider is going to be my final build this league that I pump all my currency in to and play around with crafting gear. The problem is... I'm fairly new (been playing since ~ 2 weeks before Ultimatium ended) and this is my first time having this much currency to play with, have no clue what to actually do haha. PoB: https://pastebin.com/ite89C7j Main goal of this build is mapping. I have another build I can call in for the big bosses, so while it'd be nice to be able to do Sirus/Maven on this build it's not required at all. Honestly I don't like the "stand still to deal damage" playstyle, so unless I can pump the DPS up to meme levels that's probably not happening. Currently I can handle juiced T16 maps with little issue (once I get HH rolling at least). Have done a few T17 (Misinformation Watchstone adding +1 to a T16) Nemesis/Beyond maps and it can handle it... But I do die occasionally to just random one shots (specifically during the Alva incursions, seems about 75/25 I can get headhunter rolling or something just one shots me). I'm thinking more DPS to one shot the one shotters would be easier than trying to bulk up the HP. So the problem is... I have ~ 75 ex laying around and want to upgrade, but I'm completely lost. I've played with PoB and craft of exile a bit, and can see where my biggest upgrades would be... The problem is, I have absolutely no clue how to craft them and there's nothing on market. First off my quiver slot is basically locked until I can upgrade elsewhere... Unfortunately I need the resists it provides at the moment, so haven't even started to look into how/what to upgrade to other than just throwing a vaal orb on my current quiver :P Amulet has a lot of room for play. Right now my plan has been this: 3 problems with this... 1, I don't know if the imprint will work to remove the influence from the item (meaning if it doesn't, I'd have to start from scratch every time, right?)... 2, I could also just awakener orb crusader/redeemer for % damage per frenzy charge and lightning ele pen and make the whole process A LOT easier... But that's showing as ~ 2% less DPS in PoB (compared to ele damage with attacks + lightning ele pen)... But I also don't know if that'll be better once I scale my frenzy higher (Looks like they're about equal if I can get another +2 maximum frenzy charges, but not sure how many more I can realistically add). Rings I'm completely lost. I have no clue what stats to go for on these, and ofc need the res on them. Really have no clue which specific stats would give me the best damage boosts. Chest I need to go back and refine, it's close but not perfect. Would prefer a better 3rd suffix (Currently has elevated power charge on crit + elevated attack crit chance), and actual flat life instead of the life/evasion, but those seem like minor upgrades unless the potential res from 3rd suffix makes a huge difference elsewhere. Gloves... I'm completely lost. Right now I'm stuck with the ones I have because of int issues (which would be sorted with amulet, which is why I've done the most work in figuring out how to upgrade that first)... But I really don't know what to do here. First off, the Asenath's Gentle Touch Silk Gloves give me a way to get rid of corpses which (I think?) makes strongboxes safer since corpses that have already exploded can't explode on me again. Second, I don't know how much Temporal Chains is actually helping me... But I think if I want to burst down bosses before they can attack then it's something I'm going to need. Third, I'm not sure if elemental weakness is the best second curse to add (on top of temporal chains, since chest gives me 2 possible curses). I'm completely lost between trying to find a +1 max frenzy / <curse skill on hit> asenath's, +1 max frenzy / <curse skill on hit> Oskarm Nubuck gloves (for the assassin's mark), 4-5 implicit Hands of the High Templar with +1 max frenzy / +2 curse on hit (Temporal chains and elemental weakness?) / +1/2 other useful implicits (socketed AoE gems, socketed gems, socketed aura gems, crit, literally anything useful), or a pair of crafted gloves corrupted or double corrupted to give me +1/2 max frenzy charges and some sort of curse on hit (or two curses, for that matter). Boots... Same story. Going with the Darkray Vectors for the +1 maximum frenzy charge and extra move speed... But have no clue what I should actually be using here (the ones I have are just left over from my first failed build attempt I was following a guide for, which the guide completely failed to state the amount of investment needed for it to actually work lol... Which at the time, I didn't have nearly enough to even make the build work to clear T16 maps) Bow... This is a big one. I definitely want to upgrade the bow, but at the 75 ex mark I have no clue how. There's one on the market right now that would be a ~10% DPS boost... For 85 ex. Crafting my own, I wouldn't even have a clue where to start. From my experimenting in PoB the +2 arrows fired, % increased physical damage, and critical strike chance were the 3 biggest mods to shoot for... But just going for those 3 then doing a multi-mod craft I could only get around 10% dps boost again (which seems like a lot of investment for such a small boost, especially considering the +2 arrows fired is ~ 50 ex to buy, and there are no bows with T1 fractured % increased phys damage (which is actually the harder of the two to roll), so I have no clue what to do. I'm clearing t16 maps pretty easily but some bosses/guardians are taking forever to kill. Maybe that's just the build itself but from videos I've seen of build guides I feel like I'm killing things really slowly compared to others. I've invested a lot of currency into this character(40ex) but it still doesn't feel GREAT. What should I do next to see some really big damage increases? Or am I missing something? My damage is pretty good but for some reason bosses (even red tier map bosses) randomly 1 shot me or I just don't have enough sustain to DPS them down. I'm thinking I should go for a discipline ES on hit watchers eye which I am close to affording but I want to get people's opinions first because 6ex is a fairly large investment for me. I have generally played most summoner variants except dancing duo, ton of cyclone builds, and a lot of ts shot / iceshot. I would like a build that is a decently fast mapper while being semi safe. Ideally I'd like to push to 100 mainly mapping. I have some aura stacker parts but it's the same fear of finally getting it up and running to get gutted next patch.
