| Some basic testing/theory for lancing steel as a coc delivery skill Posted: 23 Sep 2021 09:59 PM PDT Posted as a comment in another thread, but wanted to make a thread around the concept for further discussion. Alright after doing some testing it seems that lancing steel projectile/sec is static regardless of attack speed or number of projectiles. So what this means is that extra projectiles just extend the "turret" and lets you kite around more or possibly swing a second time for more consistent procs. The golden value seems to hover around 17.15 proj/sec from 6 trials, 3 of which were with 48 proj and 3 of which with 60. I tested with 18 proj as well but it's harder to average, it still hovers in the 16-18 proj/sec range with a smaller amount of proj from what I can tell. So from this, we see that lancing steel sadly has a bit too many proj/sec for the first break point consistency with 2 spells (7.57 x 2), but undershoots the 10 aps breakpoint by not by too much luckily. It's still a great CoC skill for either breakpoint but it's not exactly clean and there's no real optimizing with attack speed or projectiles. I think it works best for skills like eye of winter/ice spear/blazing salvo/creeping frost/forbidden rite where you can get both duration scaling for lancing steel (more proj = longer duration) AND shotgunning for your damaging spells. I've already seen this in action on youtube from a few people, but I think there's probably more to explore/optimize here. Any ideas/thoughts/questions? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 23 Sep 2021 09:50 PM PDT In softcore trade this League I've played a decent amount of builds, like Spectral Helix, Lightning Strike, Boneshatter, Eye of Winter etc. But I wanted to play one melee skill (specially Tectonic Slam or Bladestorm) but found myself having a lot of fun in SSFHC so I'll delay this for next league. I wanted to ask you guys about your feedback on melee skills in Expedition League, how strong did it feel for you? I know there will be a handful amount of changes in 3.16, but I wanted to know how the buffs and nerfs affected most of melee skills. I'm mainly interested on Tectonic Slam/Bladestorm, but please feel free to tell me your experiences with other melee skills as well, since I'm really curious on how the meta shift affected this playstyle as whole! | I need help getting out of Blood Magic Posted: 24 Sep 2021 04:05 AM PDT Um, so this build is going to sound a bit wacky (because it kinda is), but I basically wanted to roll a pretty simple to play character using an ascendancy I hadn't played before after my league starter kinda fell flat in red maps. I ended up with a CoC FR Assassin that uses the Replica Trypanon+Effigon combo to deal with crit and accuracy and scaling damage mostly through poison. I didn't go CI (wasn't comfortable doing so on a selfmade build) so I had a lot of leech through vaal pact. What this meant was that to deal with my mana issues, I ended up equipping a Malachi's Awakening so I had blood magic and mortal conviction (I have such massive leech that the life costs are negligible) but I'm now at a point where there isn't much more I can do with this build unless I free up my helmet slot...I think? The build is actually not bad, it can do pretty decently juiced t16 maps, smashes logbooks and I've killed A5 sirus and most of the guardians (haven't found all of them yet) and am preparing to try having a go at Elder (who I think I can do), Shaper (who I don't think I can) and the Twisted (who are certainly going to tear me a new one). However, there really isn't much of a way to scale any further (outside of finding an extra 5% chance to poison) outside of very small gear upgrades that don't give much benefit. Is there a way I can stop using Blood Magic? Eldritch battery (but can't sustain the es costs)? Mana gain on spells might be a bit too difficult for me to get and cap resists. It's not a big deal if this is as far as I can go seeing as I've gone farther this league than I did last league (which was my first), but if there are things I've missed it would be good to know. I'm trying to find something more tanky to try and learn boss mechanics better without just getting one shot. | Posted: 23 Sep 2021 06:03 AM PDT Seriously, this game is complex. I had a Dual Influenced Chest with Attack Crit, Spell Crit and +1 curse and was using Vile Bastion to be stun imune. The roll from my Chest was decent, but not mirror tier, it had 295 Energy Shield.MY dps was decent at 22mil, but with less than 7k ES I was dying a lot. This chest I guess is worth more than 15EX. I decided to ditch it and equip a 700ES+ chest and craft a Precursor Emblem to be Stun Immune and swap acendencies, from Vile Bastion to Malediction to give me +1 curse and debuff maledicton. THE big tip is a Precursor Emblem with stun immunity... it was way easier to me than to try to be stun immune from other pieces of gear I guess, Also trying Chayula lost me 5mil dps alone. I bought a 1EX precursor emblem with stun immunity when max endurance charges and equipped a fractured chest that I crafted with 700+ES and was selling for about 6EX a "downgrade". It kepted me at the same dps level. I started to craft a better precursors emblems to try to get +1power charge and or stun immunity. Today i hit a somewhat good one with stun imunity, +5% damage per power charge and 3% es per power charge. My dps went to 26mil. I Still need one with +1 power charge, gonna keep trying to craft it, dunno if i will try to craft with endurance+power charge as I did, or if I gonna do it only with power charges next. Final Result POB: NOW: https://pastebin.com/L0esZTQr 25.5 mil dps and 9K ES. BEFORE: https://pastebin.com/7dWayg9w 22mil dps and 6.9K ES. Way more tankier with 2K+ ES and -10% monster damage done from malediction. It is a tip, because in Poe Ninja never saw a single COC FR Build using such ring. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 23 Sep 2021 08:18 AM PDT So I finally got to 80 ex today for the first time and I will be buying a HH, farmed on an ele hit raider that is worth maybe 30-40ex. Now as I will be broke after buying the HH I won't have a lot of currency for the rest of the build so I'm looking for a build that is really strong and enabled by HH, rest should be cheap. Always wanted to do juiced maps like deli/nemesis etc and just not worrying about juicing t16s. Decent single target would be nice. Any recommendations? [link] [comments]  | ||

Thanks to me vaaling every unique and jewel at the end of the league. It turned out way better than i expected... like a lot better. Now my question is, where to go from here? I have very little knowledge of aurabots & aurastackers and just freehanded the build. Please find the current character below. I would really appreciate some pointers how to optimize this char. Looking to play something interesting that is a strong all rounder, pref gonna choose something I've not played before.Looking for not raider. I wanna be able to faceroll maps and be able to boss in some way as well. Pref something with explosions or really good clear similarly.
