Please Free Openarl to work on Path of Building Posted: 28 Feb 2019 01:03 PM PST During the launch of betrayal league, PoB's passive tree and skill information was out of date for several days past release when in past leagues Openarl had them ready hours before the league even launched. I know you hired him to work on Path of Exile specifically, but the Path of Building tool that he has developed does more for player retention than any league mechanic you have introduced to the game to date. I am asking you to give him either time off or time in the office to get the tool up to date before the official launch so that its ready for the community. Making characters in path of exile is extremely complicated and math heavy and a powerful tool like PoB not only helps you start a build, but helps you determine the impact of items on your build to help you keep looking for upgrades. Without PoB, you could spend hours getting characters to endgame before realizing they're just not going to work out and having to reroll / mass regret them into something else. This sort of interaction, when you spend hours playing only to have a bad taste in your mouth at the end, is what makes players quit. Sometimes PoB even gives you the confidence to know that a build will work out, if you give it enough investment, and keeps you playing. This much pre-planning capability further gives players confidence to experiment with skills or playstyles they're unfamiliar with. This will be especially prevalent this league, as many players have never played a chaos build and energy shield builds have been more niche in the past than they are now. Hear our plea! Free Openarl! [link] [comments]
Kammell has beaten tie23he's a10 Kitava kill World Record. His time: 2h 45m Posted: 28 Feb 2019 05:58 AM PST You can watch the run here Some notes: He wasn't able to run adrenaline on his flasks, he also opted to skip lab which didn't seem to impact his time that much. Very impressive run overall. [link] [comments]

Chests at the end of Uber Lab Trials Posted: 28 Feb 2019 12:02 PM PST I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who skips Uber Lab Trials once I've done around half a dozen at the beginning of a league. Mainly because I know I won't farm the Labyrinth in that league. But, if there was a chest, even maybe a Labyrinth chest (random) at the end of every Trial, then I'd definitely consider running those. I think that would be a good reason for many people because those chests can have really good rewards and the Trials can be dangerous. So, there is a good balance between risk and reward. What do you think ? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 12:49 AM PST So I wanted to try a non-crit variant of UberDan's Storm Brand Ascendant but was having problems finding convenient unconditional leech sources. I looked on the wiki for some and realized that you can get generic leech (0.2%) of any damage type on Rings, from Fossils (and also, that there's no level restriction). And then I also remembered that there is a new crafting simulator which used the datamined mod proc rates. So I messed around and... https://i.imgur.com/I0ADcdM.png ^ All possible mods that can spawn with that fossil combo. (itemlevel 4) https://i.imgur.com/7ynGgbN.png ^ List of combinations sorted by probability that can produce the leech mod. https://i.imgur.com/12zazYQ.png ^ Simulation results. https://i.imgur.com/tb009bm.png ^ Example ring from in-game. Of the 11 rings I produced in-game, only 2 did not spawn with the mod, so the rates seem accurate. Unfortunately I'm done with the league so I won't be crafting any of the results myself, but you should easily be able to annul/beastcraft and isolate the Leech + EleDmg (which is OP @ 30% max roll btw), then multimod from there for endgame quality rings. 0.4% leech is plenty for endgame as you only need about 250k DPS to hit the default leech cap (which is why you see Warlord's Mark still used as the only leech source in many builds at endgame). 3c for rings you can use for the rest of the game does not seem bad to me at all. https://github.com/Gloorf/POECraftingShenanigans/releases EDIT: You should actually be able to get multiple of these leech mods (fire+light, for example) on a single ring too, since I don't think they share the same mod family. I could be wrong but it is cheap to test if you want to see for yourself. [link] [comments]
