unpopular opinion: telling people to play “what they think is fun” is NOT helpful Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:57 AM PDT people come on this subreddit asking for specific builds, comparisons, details and generally inquiring about meta builds and there is always a lazy and unhelpful response of "just play what you enjoy" that gets upvoted. I hate to break it to you but 1) people enjoy overpowered and meta builds 2) playing a clueless build that "looked" fun but soon hits a brick wall is NOT fun. Please stop the non contributing "just play what you like" responses, you're not helping anyone. [link] [comments]

Ele Hit Wander - Anywhere from 20mil to 45mil+ DPS based on Gear Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:33 AM PDT Hey guys, figured I'd post my favorite build of the league as I start to get bored and move on to a meme build before quitting. I played this assassin ele hit wander and cleared pretty much all content in the game with ease, while my gear is somewhat expensive because it is minmaxed -- all of it can be done on a much smaller budget. Do note that most of my rares are harvest crafted; however, so you can get creative and buy bases, play around with augments and remove + add to get some nice rares. I've always wanted to play a wander and also ele hit, so I figured why not combine the two. Was very pleased with the results, everything I ever wanted out of a wander/projectile based build that can clear multiple screens. I rarely died thanks to a healthy combined ES + Life pool with Blind + Acro + Phase Acro + Wind Dancer layers, and then Vaal Pact + Soul Tether to instantly refill our pools. Here's my forum guide: Written Guide Path of Building: https://pastebin.com/YBPjAXC6 Note I'm using local1dentity's PoB fork, not sure if the pastebin works properly for normal PoB. Highly recommend downloading the fork. Hope you enjoy, feel free to ask questions. Note that the corruptions on gear (outside of Soul Tether) are fairly important and make up a significant portion of our ele hit damage as it scales incredibly well with +gem level. As stated, while my gear is minmaxed, you can opt for a lot of budget stuff and be just as effective (i.e. corrupted Tabula), cheaper hands of the high templar, cheaper rares to start, 1 mod watcher's eye, etc... edit: Due to several requests, I have added a budget section to the written forum guide (linked above). How do I not take 8-9 hours to level a new char to maps Posted: 10 Jul 2020 01:58 PM PDT I realized my characters are typically 9 hours to maps. An hour more if my character is in rough shape, a little less if my character is a God among men (looking at you, summoners). I'm not looking to be mega efficient in terms of time like others who get to maps in 3 hours or whatever. Last league i leveled like 5 chars from 0 to maps. Drained me. That's 45 hours on average. Let's face it leveling is kinda draining but it's a great way to get a feel for your character. What do you do to make leveling either not feel like a chore or not feel like a snail? Either one will fix my problem I think. [link] [comments]
How does this guy one shot bosses? Posted: 10 Jul 2020 08:11 PM PDT https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NhpZdZw2d-E I've been trying to work out how this guy gets enough damage to one shot bosses, but I just don't understand how to scale the damage that high. It's a long shot, but does anyone have a pob or profile for this build that I could reference from? [link] [comments]
Builds with the most forgiving A8 Sirius clears? Posted: 11 Jul 2020 01:49 AM PDT So my league starter was a BV Poison assassin. It zooms through maps and feels generally pretty good, but man does Sirius ever suck for me. More specifically, I think I just need practice on the fight and that's hard to do when you're getting one shot by everything. Are there any build that you could recommend that would be tanky enough to give me some breathing room while also doing decent bossing DPS? Preferably cater based. [link] [comments]
Earthshatter SSF : Double Tap Minotaur video Posted: 10 Jul 2020 02:41 PM PDT So I posted the first video on this build awhile back with some clear footage. I had more time to play now. I mostly been busy playing this and Valorant when I had energy to play. I will do a full video guide including Boss kills soon. I used to make them all into seperate videos, but I think that I'll just condense it into one. I don't really care about having a lot of videos up, just want things to be practical for people looking for a fun build. I might make forum guide to go along with the video guide, but not sure yet. I saw there are already a few up with similar builds and eventhough I don't agree with a lot of their building choices, don't think I'll help a lot of people by posting mine on the forums. This is my current pastebin : https://pastebin.com/Ah62cgSs [link] [comments]
Build to best take advantage of Harvest League content Posted: 11 Jul 2020 03:18 AM PDT I haven't played this league yet and am looking for a starter build. I want to focus on doing the actual harvest content, to craft gear for my standard characters. So I am looking for a build that can clear maps fast for seeds and survives the actul seed encounters. What would you guys recommend. I was thinking of spellslinger VD, but I am not sure if its the best option for SC. [link] [comments]

Scourge Arrow bow for early/mid maps? Posted: 10 Jul 2020 10:39 PM PDT Hey, So I know the end game would be to find a ilvl83 Elder, but before that point what's the best bow to use for SA? I'm in SSF and already have a +2 gems 6L imperial from my TR Trickster, but from what I've read the +2 doesn't do much for SA? Is there a better craft/combo I could use on that bow to at least get me to red maps smoothly? I know it will probably fall off hard at the higher content without a GG bow, but uniques, especially fated ones like Opus are a lot harder to come by in SSF. Leveling I've been using Deaths Harp, but I assume that's only going to last me till A10. Any info is helpful, thanks. [link] [comments]
Need help with my CoC build not hitting the crit and the accuracy cap Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:21 AM PDT hello everyone! I am playing a CoC ice nova charecter I was just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or I just didn't calculate it right for my build. I've been following people on POE ninja that are doing the same build and I think I have more or less the same items but I cant seem to hit the accuracy and crit caps which both should be 100% from what I understood. Would anyone please check and let me know what i'm doing wrong. This is my PoB: https://pastebin.com/P3jXEfhC and this is the guy i'm following. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Jul 2020 11:53 PM PDT Hi there. This is my first playthrough and i'm like lvl 50 and onto theory crafting because there's where the covid brains at That said. Spiritual aid seems like a useful skill and I wondered if you got the bonus twice multiplicatively for Mirage Archer. Say I have +300% minion damage. Spritual aid says now I have +300% damage. My easy numbers weapon does 100 damage. I get +300% damage from +minion damage so I swing for 400 damage. Does the archer then deal the skills ability times archer negative modifiers but with +300% damage minion damage because it's a minion? 400*(100+300%)(100%-40% reduced mirage damage) = 960? Does the +damage from spiritual aid factor into my base damage to then be multiplied by mirage archer because it's a minion? [link] [comments]
Is chaos resistance a must have? Softcore Posted: 10 Jul 2020 04:15 PM PDT is there a minimum of chaos resistance you should have for endgame? I know it depends on the build as well, but I mean in general. Do you think it's very important to have some chaos res at least? [link] [comments]
Herald of thunder builds questions Posted: 10 Jul 2020 07:43 PM PDT I am thinking of doing a bomber build for speed farming lower tier maps. Then getting my summoner for high tier maps and delving. I have a couple questions for the build though. How does one not die from hot procs? Can you get away without the Jerald unique jewel? Is there anyway to do it on a budget and then increase as I go along. Finally should I even do a hol build or just invest for boots and expload chest on my league starting poison BV char. And use this for speed farming? [link] [comments]

The new Tribal Fury Wheel and Melee Splash/Strike Skills Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:10 PM PDT If I wanted to do a melee strike build like Double Strike or Dual Strike, I understand the new notable Tribal Fury essentially lets you do away with Ancestral Call Support. However, the two smaller nodes on the left side of the wheel which state "15% Increased Melee Splash Area of Effect," what do those do? Do they give your melee skill innate splash damage, allowing you to also not have to use Melee Splash Support or do they just scale the effect of Melee Splash Support further? In 3.7 GGG added the innate ability for every attack skill to hit multiple targets but based on what I'm reading it is mechanically distinct from melee splash so that seems to support the hypothesis that those little left side nodes just scale the melee splash support gem a little more. I'd love to make a strike build since Double Strike is an old time favorite of mine and I've never played with Dual Strike and I'm kind of wanting to try a Champion build using that skill. Really sucks feeling like you have to sacrifice a DPS link by running Melee Splash. Although there is the new ancestral warcry that gives +2 additional targets but that's only for 8 attacks so you can't maintain permanent uptime with tons of attack speed. I guess I'm just generally at a loss as to how to build around strike skills and how the new Tribal Fury wheel fits in. [link] [comments]
Melee 2h Witch (Sweep/Smite/Lacerate) Posted: 10 Jul 2020 02:33 PM PDT Good eve Reddit, ever since I saw the gorgeous Witch 2h animtion, I wanted to make a Melee build. Since my previous attempt at Wild Strike was limited by squishyness and viabilitiy as pointed out by other users, I shifted away and now am looking at physical dmg (or mixture). A friend of mine gifted me a Kondo's since I really like using 2h Swords and now I want to somewhat make use of it. Here's my tree attempt: https://pastebin.com/RAPUtPUD The idea was using either Sweep, Lacerate or Smite, grabbing all the important survival points in the tree and some good 2h stuff. Then, depending on the Ascendancy, I would base my skills around it. If going Occultist, I would go for Dual Curse and Power Charges. Enlighten + Blasphemy on Warlord's Mark and Vulnerability. This setup would probably be also in Favour of Lacerate, so Blood and Sand is a must as well. This pretty much leaves me with little Mana to cast my spells and with enough Leech nodes it should be manageable. If going Elementalist, I would go for Sweep or Smite and Discord Artisan with my spare points. Pick Mastermind of Discord and Paragon of Calamity. Ofc picking the three Heralds up to buff Dmg further. Besides that, I really liked using Enduring Cry on my first character and it felt really awesome as defensive skill, so I would use that as well. Leap Slam + Faster Attacks for movement and Cast when Damage taken (1) + Motel Shell as backup defence. Since this is my first time creating a build, I greatly appreciate any help to make this "dream" of a build work. Looking here for gear, skill tree and ascendancy improvements and maybe tips on how to play. P.S. I know Kondo's doesn't allow leech on crit, ultimately I would probably have to craft my own sword. Thank you very much in advance! edit: altered the tree, new Pastebin up. Still don't know how to properly add gear in PoB, sorry. I think Lvl. 90 is kind of ok to "aspire to" in a build I this goes even higher, I would probably add "Rampart" and "Dismembering" to the current tree. [link] [comments]
Build Advice for 90 fireball ignite elementalist Posted: 10 Jul 2020 03:48 PM PDT Hey all, Mediocre player here challenged by a friend to put together a build situated entirely around the use of fireball. I've done some homework but could use some advice on how to improve my build. Finding myself slowing down on DPS and dying frequently on tier 12+ maps. Any ideas or example trees would be appreciated. Thanks!! [link] [comments]
