GGG Forced Me to change my characters name related to China

GGG forced me to change my user name that is related to "China". Names like ChinaFireWall or ToxicRainChina. What's the reason behind ?

Am i the only one who finds rogue ballancing... weird?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 04:13 AM PDT

Vinderi has two lvl 5 jobs. Huck has none of those. So while one guy is used for 2 types of lvl5 contracts (while having op passive), other one is useles at all.

Niles does not receive any bonuses to his personal skill upon leveling up - no more discount, and not even +1 opened chest.

Giana is useles in grand heist since her passive does nothing, and she does not even gets a reveal from it.

Nenet's scouting perk are good for nothing

You can hardly ever chose between more than 1 person per position in grand heist because of the level requirements.

It all feels... not really well planned. And instead of assembling various teams for various tasks you just praying that there is Vinderi for his passive, but that there is no demo+trap lvl5 for Vinderi to be forced to occupy 2 slots per wing, and that there is at least someone with alert discount to compensate for having Vinderi. That's all, nothing else is important when planning a grand heist.

And it's... not what i expected from this leauge. Or not something that even makes logical sense for most cases i described above.

In Heists, areas with traps should have a "start job button" on both sides.

Crashes while escaping heists are such a middle finger to the player.

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 07:59 AM PDT

Crashes don't happen often for me anymore, but they still happen a few times over several hours of playtime. When they happen while escaping and cause the loss of the portal and all your loot, it really feels like the game is just giving me the middle finger, which causes me to physically do the same to my monitor.

Why GGG did you set up a mechanic that was so easily broken by crash issues? It's like every league they need to make the most obvious mistakes to learn the most obvious lessons.

Heist may be a buggy mess but the 60c/ex economy is amazing!

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 07:02 PM PDT

As a casual who gets most of their income from map currency drops and unid chaos recipe, this league has been the easiest to get good gear. Hopefully GGG can keep up the bot bans so normal players don't have their time devalued by bots. it's amazing finally being able to afford top tier items from just playing the game instead of having to play trade simulator.

    Contracts are counted as maps

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 03:04 AM PDT

Idk if that has been posted before, I only saw suggestions about this topic, so I thought I go ahead and post.

I got a Zana mission, which required me to find a map item within the time limit. I entered the map, pretty fast a contract dropped and the mission was fullfilled (i double and triple checked, there is no hidden map or a map somwhere else on the ground). Sadly I only have a screen when it was done, as I didnt think about this earlier, but that confirms, that contracts count as map and therefor should be affected by cartographers scarabs and maybe take away some of the map sustain (not confirmed)

    Screen of the drop/mission complete

What kills your will to play the game?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 04:04 AM PDT

Just lost my Simulacrum when I opened it and switched characters, viola, the 6 portals are now gone (even after switching back to the opening char). The sudden demotivation, combined with previous experiences of Lab/Heist crashes this league, got me to think about what makes me stop playing the game, and games in general.

I feel that a sudden burst of extreme BS, or sustained BS with no apparent end, is a common factor in all games that I've quit before fully playing it out. For example, a sudden financial loss in PoE due to a bug or crash would correspond to the former, while the inability of developers to address glaring QoL factors would be the latter (doors). Yeah, PoE has both.

The main point I've surmised from my games played of significant calibre is that there are actually almost no game-breaking bugs (crashes etc.) - apart from those in PoE. Even those games that have a similar motto of "the players are the testers" get the serious bugs (usual quantity: none) AND QOL fixed in record time.

For example, a game released this year, which I played before Harvest: M&B2 Bannerlord. Week 1: uncommon BS Bugs, campaign 1/3 written, core experience is there. Each of the next days: some of the bugs and qol fixed, devs know that this is important for publicity and player retention. Campaign is secondary, and would be gradually added in the later months; ironing out the bugs is key.

Compare this to Heist: Day 1=bugs and crashes, Day 30=bugs and crashes, added content=bugged, fixes=new bugs, AI=bad, doors=slow... if this summary was given to a prospective new player, haha nice try.

Yes, all games are a way of passing time. The difference is if the experience is pleasant or not. Getting smurfed on in certain mobas is not, but at least you can change your own skill in the process. Exploring a new open world in certain games (especially one released last month) is fun. Opening doors and crashing and getting scammed and spammed and GGG going " " is tedious.

-Sincerely, someone who spent $500 in the last 2 leagues.

A minute of silence for our unemployed brother Huck. May he forever be left behind with his powerful buffs.

To everyone who thinks Harvest will go core as it was in league, just remember what GGG thought of essences.

A simple failsafe like 'door opens automatically after 10 seconds if the rogue fails' would've saved a lot of headache

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 08:59 PM PDT

Just had an unique contract fail because Niles wouldn't open the fucking door and just stand there like a brainless idiot. All I want to say is that shit like this easily could've been prevented.
