| Wanted to show off that The Fulcrum works really well with the new elementalist. Posted: 09 Feb 2021 02:52 AM PST The Fulcrum had been my white whale since it first came out in Heist, I tried so much to figure out how to make good use of it. Elementalist seemed the best choice to get good chills for winterweave, but because of igniting conflux it would kill itself if it dealt too much damage. Cheiftain didn't have to care about ignites at all, but got barely any benefit out of using the fulcrum due to not having guaranteed chill effect unless you used cold snap or creeping frost every 2 seconds. Nothing really seemed worth the effort... until the elementalist rework. This league I started off with an elementalist building around the fulcrum and it has turned out to be the best build I've ever made. And it's all thanks to the elementalist rework getting rid of that awful conflux mechanic. Combined with the cluster jewel notable fire attunement ignites are completely ignorable, meanwhile shaper of winter means you can have up to 40% increased action speed even against sirus-tier bosses. I was really happy to find out that maximum chill effect going to 40% does make winterweave give you 40% increased action speed in-game, accurately reflected in the character sheet too. Posted: 08 Feb 2021 11:32 PM PST I am a glass cannon, but I don't even deal that much damage whatsoever, I cannot live whatsoever and I have to run constantly. Its making me pull my hair out and I have no hair. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/NtJuiceyy/characters Don't know whether you're all able to see this, but hopefully you can tell me whether or not I should just restart at this point. No idea how to get rid of all these points because I have like 3 refund points, and I didn't decide to respec when I was given the option to and it was a bad idea. My gear is also pretty good I feel and my favorite skill is Galvanic Arrow and that arrow dropdown from the sky ability. Not going for anything in particular for a build, since I am just kinda winging it but I thought I could had done at least good and I wanted to finish the story all the way through since I'm very interested in it. Edit:. I am the person to just die and respawn, die, respawn, die, respawn for boss fights, haven't been able to complete a single boss battle since level 25 without just spamming the door back into the room after dying. I also haven't been able to complete the big dungeons (forget what it's called, the green skull with 6 prerequisites) at all, since this is my strategy to defeating bosses. And if I die, boom, unable to fight, literally a 0% in beating anything as a boss bottle in there. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm looking for a strong build to invest in. Something that is good at bossing to take on things like A9, Maven, etc., but also isn't a slouch when it comes to mapping. I'm hesitating between a dominating blow guardian and spectre necro. I like that DB is a more active gameplay but I also like that there are countless possible spectre to adapt to my needs. | Skill suggestions for toxic rain trickster Posted: 09 Feb 2021 01:04 AM PST Comparatively new player here, played two other characters in previous expansions so I don't really have much of any knowledge in regards to crafting high end gears. I'm playing a toxic rain trickster build. I managed to get to T5 maps pretty easily but now I think in starting to have slight issues. I have a 5link silverbough and the other gears are just resistance. My question here is what secondary gems I should use to help me put more damage/survive. I'm currently using a 5l toxic rain. 4l caustic arrow Dash malevolence skitterbot i And a cwdt with immortal call lightning golem bloodrage What improvement can I do to these skill gems. I'm thinking builds that are less than 100 ex, and playable from league start to league end. I know plenty of builds can do this, but I'm thinking by comfortably doing 100% with relative speed. Being able to boss well still is a huge plus. The only build I've been able to do this with was back in 3.10 as an aura stacker, which feels properly stripped. Any ideas folks? Currently have about 6 ex. I leveled both a EQ Bleed Glad and BFBB Chieftan and dislike their playstyles tremendously. I was thinking of rolling a Max Block Cyclone Glad, can't decide between 1h/shield or unarmed. Any other builds I should consider before grinding out the levelling process again? | Posted: 08 Feb 2021 09:27 AM PST A lot of cluster nodes are powerful and can directly impact the build. But there IS a cost to them - it takes 7 passive points to fully utilize one medium cluster jewel, and like 27 skill points of investment for a full cluster jewel tree. And even if it IS worth the skillpoint investment (i.e. 7-27 passive points spent on cluster jewels go further than the passive tree in QoL/defense/offense), it doesn't mean its feasible to spend all your money to craft it or buy it, right? Rolling them is a ton harder now because you have random filler affixes that provide nothing. So I'm wondering what you guys do to determine their value in terms of QoL/defense/offense? Do you simply PoB your dps/health with cluster jewels and without? Or is there a better way? Is there a hard rule of thumb like any point invested in a cluster jewel is far more efficient than any point in a skill tree? [link] [comments]  | ||
