    30ex + TR Build Giveaway

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:29 PM PST

Hey all, I've completed all my goals for ritual league and have started a new job today, so will be giving away all my TR Deadeye's gear (worth about 50ex) and 30ex to two people in this lovely community.

The TR Deadeye's character can be found at: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Aerial1910/characters (character name is Monsieurneil) or pob: https://pastebin.com/nPzJyBQ0

To enter: just comment which of the two you're interested in (30ex or TR gear). Reddit account must be a week old. I'll then take everyone's account name and choose by random.

I'll announce the winners in 24 hours. Thanks and good luck!

So you want to play Cold BV PF and want to know the budget? A mini gearing guide

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:29 AM PST

TLDR: Spreadsheet link with core/flex items for Non-crit cold BV Pathfinder dual wield and dodge version

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XEwbVgFrgT8zWZbmSe_Uj_Z2vomhCLOnUeIAr-I8W4Q/edit?usp=drivesdk

Cheapest base line version - 19 ex

Recommended starting version - 27ex (take out unnatural instinct from my started version - gameplay vids included)

Also added a sheet about Disintegrator (not as detailed but also has gameplay vids and also 20 mins of me tanking sirus to learn to dodge his beam - spoiler i still cant do it)

    PoBs Cheapest Starter - https://pastebin.com/UQgnYMfh

    Recommended Starter - https://pastebin.com/fQf3KdUe

    Disintegrator - https://pastebin.com/k66KXbnL

    /u/J-Livermore's min max Disintegrator version - poe.ninja - https://pastebin.com/2R1dgRWA

    Crit Bow - https://pastebin.com/kpJ7tpgr

Low Effort Video Showcases - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC616YdcUyKYw8VyUPImn5Cg/videos

    What is this???

This is a spreadsheet of most of my searches/notes while playing Cold BV PF based on this original guide - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2905010

I played this back in Heist since I wanted a fracture bp farmer that is not carrion or aura stack (played both previous league and dont wanna play them again) and this build was a blast. Since this league is bossing league and this buld does exceptionally well doing so for my playstyle, I Ä‘ecied to play it again.

If you are looking for a forgiving bosser/decent map clear, this is the one. With huge regen/flask QoL this build is very tanky and allows you to make mistakes (you can get hit and regen without ever worrying about running out of life flask charge). The con though is that it's somewhat Quinn (zDPS) at low investment level since most of your resources are spent on defense. That is until the fire nation attacks you get berserk/chain breaker and invest more on higher dps items.

I include some gameplay videos so you can decide that for yourself.

    What about other versions?

There are other versions - mainly shield and hard defense - out there. However, i'm a hardcore pleb whose playstyle is to kill and be killed before investing into defense, so there was only so much defense I would like to forgo.

    What versions did I play?

In Heist, I started with dual wield dodge, got to lv 97 (the pob you see from spreadsheet is my actual char and gear) and then decided to switch to Disintegrator version bc some dude posted it here and it was amazing. I got to 99 before quitting the league.

In Ritual, my 2nd char was a scuffed version of the Disintegrator i played in Heist. I though I could tank Sirus beam at that level but I could not. I have since switched to crit bow version bc Harvest allowed me to do so "cheaply" (still 100ex switch). I recorded some gameplay and will upload that with PoB to youtube sometime ...

EDIT: Added Gems + Crit Version section (cost ~70 ex to upgrade) ~20 mil DPS

    General FAQs:

    Can this do 100% Delirium?

Definitely not the budget version or Disintegrator version. My crit version can do it comfortably with HH.

    Why no Agnostic?

From the OG creator It's useful before Indigon, as a way of indirectly sustaining your life pool through a mana flask. After Indigon, your life sustain is great anyway, and it's your mana pool that most often requires more sustain. Agnostic wouldn't help in that context.

EDIT 2: Gonna add a change log since over the course of the day, thank you to peeps that point out some of my mistakes. (I def should have used git instead of gsheet for version control)

CHANGE LOG: - Thank you /u/Burwicke for pointing out that Glorious Vanity should be Xibaqua instead of Ahuana - Thank you /u/J-Livermore for pointing out that you can actually do 100% Deli with Disintegrator version. He's clearly more qualified than me to answer any question about Disintegrator version and is happy to do so. His poe.ninja and a PoB based on that is added to the Disintegrator section - Thank you /u/dzenith2 for reminding me of +1 Curse. I knew I forgot something about the chest but couldn't remember what - Thank you /u/Dalriata for pointing out that Bladeblast with BV is bad idea. I originally used Divergent Convocation (gives unnerve for 4 secs) but switched to Bladeblast to be "budget" but this doesnt work out too well. Reverted to Divergent Convocation and added 1ex to builds. - Thank you /u/r_kive for pointing out my extra HoI aura. This is a silly thing of mine that I like my HoI Automation MTX very much so during mapping, I just unspec Supreme Ego and enable HoI for the eye candy. Let me take it out to avoid confusion - Added a PoB sections to TLDR + my youtube channel if folks want to quickly see demo (it's pretty low effort recordings so my apology)

    Chieftain Righteous Fire Totems

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 10:10 PM PST

Looking for ideas to round out a build concept.

The idea is to use skin of the lords and empower to get a level 25-28 righteous fire and then use it as a spell totem to get extra benefit because totem base life is determined by the gem level of the supported skill.

Right now I'm thinking chieftain and stacking 10 endurance charges while dual wielding nebulochs for the 10k flat armor to utilize the global defenses buff on skin of the lords.

Righteous fire>spell totem>empower>burning damage>elemental focus>swift affliction (if it works otherwise conc effect.)

    SSF build

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 03:51 AM PST

I decided to play SSF to get rid of some bad things I'm used to do because of always playing trade league and to learn more about how the game works, how to scale different sources of damage and defense and all of that. If you have any tips or if you find a better plan to my pob, please let me know, I linked arcane surge to force the damage because I can't get it to show otherwise. Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheapest/Required Items needed to create self curse build?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 03:50 AM PST

    Hey guys,

Pretty finished with my carrion build and want to just leave it for bossing now.

Self curse looked interesting as a good mapping build. I was just wondering what items required or any recommendations everyone had in starting one.

I would start with inspired learning to begin with. I saw someone posted a budget option using two void batteries but I cannot find it. I think it was either using KB or blade vortex

I am open to other build suggestions.

    Thank you

Need Help with Transcendence Evasion Stacking Glad

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 12:03 AM PST

Have come up with a build to take advantage of willowgift and Transcendence to make a really tanky glad. Max block to help deal with our subsequently lacking phys defenses.

Having issues specifically with degen in general (dont have much in the way of regen or leech) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas to improve the build (both for the degen problem and in general)

Advice on where to go after bb chieftain

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 03:05 AM PST

Ive managed to defeat every boss with my bb chieftain and was lucky enough to be able to purchase headhunter. I currently has 90ex to spend and am tossing up whether to respec this guy into fire bv or reroll a different character. Bossing doesnt matter im after a fast mapper.

Always want to play a staff build with marauder/ temp/ duelist. Any recommendations? One button skills other than cyclone are preferred. Just tried bb/ bf Inq, high damage, but not smooth and quite clunky at all. Appreciate for any opinions! Thanks!

[RSC]Trying to sort out a Ball Lightning Miner

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 04:18 PM PST

    PoB:https://pastebin.com/W8qBpbMH

My build is currently a bit of a mess but I'm just looking to get it functional so I can farm up the currency for the good stuff. Gems, gloves, and belt are just randoms I had floating around from burning harvest rerolls. I know I need to get another call of the brotherhood for cold conversion to go with the curse set I'm running.

I have about 4 unspent skill points from things I refunded when I switched from Kaom's and tremor rod to a 6-link shavronnes with a prism guardian I already owned and a make-do wand I bought relatively cheaply. My eHP pool is atrocious at the moment I know. Oh and the pastebin is wrong for whatever reason I do have zealot's oath I'm not quite that dumb.

I have ~10 ex worth of currency to spend working on it for now but would be happy for advice going forward because I'm generally not very well-learned about the game.

Can you do Penence Brand as a league starter or SSF friendly build?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 02:48 AM PST

I played Storm brand when it was super strong with Archimage and Brand Recall, which I league started as. I am doing a swap to.SSF to hopefully learn the game better and want a build that will almost endlessly scale with self crafting and investment. That being said I'm still really a trade player at heart and have very little knowledge on crafting and certain niche mechanics. So I'm asking if Penence Brand option for this. If not I guess recommend me a decent one to play?

I know i need to upgrade the belt and gloves, get a helm enchant and maybe swap my bottled faith for a wise oak if i can manage to balance my resists. I still get 1 shotted by phoenix with like no huge mods on the map

    Necro DD stuck with damage

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 10:44 PM PST

    Hey

I'm about to hit 94 in HC Ritual and I feel super tanky with the max block and life on block from bone offering. This is by far the tankiest I have been in a long time.

I'm clearing T16 maps without any issues, but the boss damage is starting to lack.

In all honesty I farmed gear for a low life carrion build, so the gear on this one has not been upgraded in about in the last 15 levels I think :)

I'm not sure how to further scale the damage as I can't really find better sceptres or shield on the trade side atm... Nothing decent with fire as chaos and spell block.

edit: my gems just hit 20/20, probs not up to date in the PoB

I've been clicking some scorching fossiles on a sceptre, is that really the only thing I can do? :D

    Looking for Nopants build(around 100ex)

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 01:35 AM PST

Hello all. Im looking for build that is faster than fp totems (11m w/o flasks 20m w flasks) and possibly stronger.

The reason is if there is something rippy like 4 breachlords invitation totems melt too fast and thus i cant deal dmg.

    Nopants is a must.

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 01:06 AM PST

Shock Enemies as though dealing (30–50)% more Damage

Imo this is the best redeemer helmet suffix for now. Its nearly making your 6L dealing dmg like 7L. Imagine combo this using cold skills with cold conduction cluster...

    Which build is better?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 12:55 AM PST

Hi due to a medical issue, I mostly play summoner builds as I don't have to click so many buttons.

I tried Cast on cycloning Spectres and elementalist carrion golems. But I die pretty often, is there a way to get a lot of survivability for cheap? And should I switch to LL carrions?

    Min/Max Impale Champ Lv95

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 12:41 AM PST

    Hello fellow insane Exiles!

So first thing first the PoB : https://pastebin.com/p95Ra5BK

    Some notes about it :

    - Avoid Aliment at 100% so the ignite imune flask mode can be replace

    - 1 steel ring on the way to replace the amethyst one (need to find 1 or 2 harvest craft i think)

    - The hemlet can be optimise maybe with a r/A Defence (and not Add life since i can hit the life for minion....)

But... Other than that i'm hitting a wall here.

I got my ass kicked by the 4 breachlord in maven event but i think a lot of build get wrecked by them...

I can do Sirus A8 but i need to watch my screen :D (most of the time i loose a portal because i'm not focus enough)

Didn't test Minotaur with Maven watching, but the other 3 are ok (and in ritual situation too)

Elder is a joke, Shaper with Maven is a pain in the ass... Cortex was OK (but i didn't know the fight well so i loose 5 portal stupidly) Catharina, Gardian, Conqueror, Delves Boss... Even Normal Atziri (with the right pantheon, 3 skill point respect, and the ring that prevent reflect) are done with it.

All in all it's the first time i'm really enjoying playing melee with this build and would like to push it to it's maximum if possible, but my knowledge is still limited to do so. Sometimes i have the feeling that the overlap damage of the spike explosion is not working (or doesn't have room for a little "misplacement") for exemple. Or that some of the skillpoint could be spend in a better way...

So any help/advise is welcome :)

    Which ascendency for BV?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 03:16 PM PST

What're the pros and cons of going Hiero with a pledge of hands vs. a Pathfinder using a bow/scepter? There's a lot of build guides out there and it's tough to tell which one would be best for me. I would prefer survivabilty over damage, to a degree.

    Build for Zizaran's Gauntlet?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 08:59 PM PST

Planning try Zizaran's gauntlet in a couple of weeks, which is HCSSF with all damage mods on.

Last gauntlet I went Earthshatter champ and found it quite easy to get to 90 but I'm hoping to mix it up this time.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a build which is SSF friendly with extremely high toughness?

Need upgrade ideas for Aurabot RF guardian

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 08:00 PM PST

So I've been playing this guardian since league start and it's gone from specters to an RF build. I've been looking to upgrade my survivability and dmg but i'm kinda stumped at where to begin with upgrades. So here I am asking you gracious POE geniuses for help. https://pastebin.com/EqtgN5DN

budget isn't an issue unless its hundreds of exalts worth. I just need someone to tell me what i can possibly upgrade whether it be my tree, my gear, or my gem setup. I also don't use a lot of clusters cuz im still not to used to them. If i can swap out the majority of my tree for clusters to make it better just tell me which ones to get and ill do my best to get them

HCSSFers, is there any lazy / forgiving build you'd recommend for HCSSF?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:45 PM PST

I feel like I accomplished everything I reasonably could in SCSSF so I want to try HC and give it a proper shot...or multiple shots if I really enjoy it.

EQ Glad in SCSSF was great for me but has some "problems" that are solved with enough time investment that something like EQ champ doesnt have. EQ glad needs all 4 labs, youre weak to degen (I guess champ is like this as well) and you REALLY need an i83 elder axe with multimod. The defensive mechanic of block works well until it doesnt.

What I recognize is that I am not a very good player mechanically, so I like to play classes that can mitigate mechanics as much as possible and be extremely forgiving even in SC trade in SCSSF. So I gravitate towards builds that are naturally tanky and skills that naturally dont need a lot of gear....which are most HCSSF builds...

I was thinking of trying 1h or 2h EQ champion. Do you guys think this is a really forgiving build? On one hand its not really lazy as you need to spam 3 warcries (seismic bonk bonk intimidating bonk bonk bonk enduring and repeat) but on the other you have perma fortify, 3 endurance charges, etc. There might be other really fun builds like BFBB/BV Chieftain/assassin and maybe even elementalist or crema necro that I have in the back of my mind, but none seem quite as forgiving or have as much mitigation compared to champ or glad.
