    Repost: Activation failed on conqueror citadel. I can literally not play the game.

    I am reposting this so more eyes are on it. I, and a few others I have been in contact with, are currently not able to play the game right now. Our tickets have gone unanswered and we are asking for help.

    I have encountered a bug where the map Zana has chosen to spawn my Conqueror is not what the game thinks should be possible. I am on 4 Watch stone Lex Proxima Maps( Tier 14-16), where my Drox is spawned. When Conqueror time came, Zana chose a T11 Chateau (Tirn's End) to spawn Drox.

    When trying to open that map in my map device, I get an error message of "Activation Cancelled", therefore I am bricked from continuing my atlas progression.

    I cannot fail the map, which would allow me to try and respawn. I am seemingly stuck until I get a fix.

    Thanks, GGG. Instead of "infinite" master missions, I now barely get any at all.

    The changes to atlas bonus are ridiculous. GGG claiming we had infinite missions when this was not the case at all. I think it's ridiculous I am in t16s and have had about 5 Zana missions total.

    EDIT: Honestly, my main gripe is that I can't get Jun missions, I need the avoid ailments craft haha,

    I just started trading and I have to say this system is so unintuitive. As a buyer you have you send out so many whispers and hope someone answers. Half the time people don't answer back. I have one premium tab and have yet to actually sell but that's because I haven't been online all day.

    Why didn't they just do an auction house like every other game? Or something similar? I'm playing with my non gamer sister and she noped out when I started explaining the process. She said it's stupid. And I agree.

    Edit: I see where the developers are coming from but it still feels incredibly awkward. I can see new players getting overwhelmed.

    PSA if prompted to fight Trialmaster and you have ondeath effects under you, dont accept. You'll get killed whilst being teleported to fighting arena.

    The current implementation of Harvest very awkward and kind of awful

    (I just want to preface this by saying the post was made through very subjective observation of my own)

    Some context: Ever since its implementation, Harvest has had 2 major reworks

    • In 3.13: Harvest no longer contains a garden-building component, nor a permanent garden of your own. Instead, you now have a chance to discover a portal to an established Sacred Grove in maps, which contains several different harvestable plots.

    • In 3.14: The mechanic was then heavily nerfed, through reducing the amount of crafts in general, REMOVING "over-deterministic" crafts (including exalt options for influenced items).

    With these changes in mind, there are 2 glaring issues that plague the present version of Harvest.

    Issue 1:

    Harvest disrupts your gameplay. The appearance of The Sacred Grove in map completely stops your game flow, and present you with unstorable* rewards that you HAVE TO use NOW, as opposed to seeds that you can grow later. (imagine chaos orbs that disappear the moment you open a new map). This creates a weird situation where players actually feel bad to see the league mechanic because you either:

    A: Stop your gameplay to engage in a tedious reward system

    or

    B: Actively opt out of this shiny gold pile** the game is presenting just to keep playing. (psychologically, this does not feel good).

    Issue 2 (the gold pile**):

    The crafting options are so bad. Seriously, 9/10 times they are just glorified chaos spamming (and even then the crafting process is limited because you don't have full access to your storage). I know GGG already explained their philosophy on the Harvest nerf, but the fact that said nerfs were so extreme made it seems like GGG is just arbitrarily keeping Harvest in the game to please players, instead of using it to achieve their original vision of the league mechanic.

    I know it is always much easier to identify problems than to fix them, but I really hope GGG will keep trying and not abandon Harvest after this, because for me and many other players Harvest crafting has been one of the best thing that has ever happened to POE.

    (*technically you can store crafts in station, but the 15 limits is so low it's almost non-existence.)

    The internal timer of Zana missions doesn't stop when Ritualmaster stops the time to let you choose the next mod, as oppose to the timer on your screen, which results in such situations

    Alva encounters should use the Ultimatum screen freeze mechanic

    Alva's temple popup should activate in a similar to Delirium mirror manner - when one runs into her, the screen freezes, you check the architect and you can push the button to teleport right away. You can close the popup to go back and after that, you'd be able to activate the popup only by actually clicking on her, old style.

    Just had my first 10 wave. Died to invisible Trialmaster.

    So I just reached my first 10 wave Ultimatum. After accepting the trial I was just left standing in the middle of the map without anything in my sight. I was expecting some kind of portal to spawn to the boss fight, etc. Turns out Trialmaster spawned invisible in my map and killed me a second later.

    The current state of the texture streaming is absolutely unacceptable. I keep getting invisible enemies, buffs, effect, rewards. Half of the stuff is not loading and I tried both DX and Vulcan. This is one of the my favourite leagues content wise, but the performance makes it soo frustrating.

    Dealing with high-tier Ultimatums - some quick tips.

    As more people are now starting to get into high tier maps and want to maximize their rewards from the new league mechanic, I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on how to best approach Ultimatums and the choices you're given within them.

    First, it's important to know how the optional modifiers work. There are some that only have one 'tier', which means picking them won't affect your future options aside from removing that mod from the pool. However, for any modifier with tiers, that modifier will become 'locked' until you upgrade it to tier 3.

    This can have a dramatic effect on your Ultimatum. If you pick stormcaller runes, blistering cold and choking miasma as your first three modifiers, you will only be able to pick a different modifier once one of them is tier 3, and that modifier could be one you absolutely cannot pick anyway. Unless your build negates the impact of a modifier (almost) completely, I would avoid upgrading any modifier to tier 3 for as long as possible, and hence I would avoid taking three modifiers early that have multiple tiers.

    There are also a few mods that have different tiers, but only the highest possible tier will appear as an option, like lightning damage from mana costs.

    The best approach, in my opinion, is to take as many non-tiered mods that appear that your build can handle early, and then take tiered mods that you are happy to stack together. Stacking three tier 2/3 mods that can damage you is often a death sentence in juiced maps, as is stacking lots of things that can give you ruin unless you have extremely high block/evasion.

    As for the non-tied mods, I cannot imagine a build that can cope with Limited Flasks. Buffs Expire Faster borks your guard skills, Increased Cooldown Recovery means you can rarely dash around. Escalating Damage Taken is a death sentence for any round, while Escalating Monster Speed is manageable as long as you're not letting rares stay alive for long. Random Projectiles is hell, even if you don't use projectiles. Reduced AOE is bad for any build that scales AOE or needs things to overlap to increase damage. Trecherous Auras is also much more dangerous than most other modifiers for basically every build (edit: for any build with auras that give buffs to you. Many phys attack builds can cheat here because pride and F&S don't affect you and B&S isn't an aura - credit to u/jwfiredragon ). Occasional Impotence should never, ever be taken.

    The best builds for Ultimatum are those that have many modifiers and map modifiers which do not negatively affect them. My league starter was great in this respect - Soulwrest CwC Cyclone Necromancer. I could pick unlucky crits, reduced recharge, lightning damage from mana costs and curse/ailment reflection every time they came up. Siphoned Charges was also less impactful, and the two scaling Ruin modifiers were safer as blocking, evading and dodging hits means you don't gain any ruin, and my phantasms would take most of the aggro. Any CI build will negate Choking Miasma and the added chaos damage mod, giving you more freedom for every Ultimatum. As such I would consider vortex/cold snap occultist to be a really strong build for this league, especially since Vaal Cold Snap just got a big buff.

    Even with my mobility and ability to leave killing things to my minions, I would still be randomly killed if I stacked modifiers like stormcaller ruins and blistering cold together. At tier 2 the damage of these modifiers dramatically increases, as even without a minion build they will be hard to see with high mob density. Keep moving and never double back to where you once were.

    You also want to notice the type of mobs that are spawning. If you have a lot of the diamond caster guys (can't remember their name), be extra careful about upgrading mods like stormcaller ruins. If you have a lot of monkeys, be more careful about mods that hinder you or speed them up, as they can get viciously fast if their auras begin to stack.

    For general build tips, stun immunity (or extremely high avoidance) is mandatory. Brine King is not enough - any single stun can mean disaster. Flask uptime is vital to keep buffs like phasing and things like freeze immunity going. Life/ES gain on hit is great for builds that use cyclone due to the mob density.

    Let's talk about the different Ultimatum types as well. Survival and Kill Waves are mostly the same - if you can't kill rares fast enough, you will get overwhelmed. Protect the Altar is comfier early, but it becomes a bigger dps check in later waves than the aforementioned mods. Finally, Stone Circles has the greatest impact on what modifiers you will want to pick, but things like choking miasma are still viable for builds with decent chaos resistance, as you'll want to move between the circles before completing them on later waves in order to increase your general survivability anyway.

    Map modifiers and mechanics are also important to consider. Einhar is a great companion to bring into your Ultimatums. The fog of delirium is not: you get little progress on your reward bars while mobs become significantly tougher, which can bork an otherwise beatable Ultimatum and make you lose out on potential rewards. Unless your build is at the point it rarely dies in t19 100% delirious maps, I would save the altar for after the fog has gone.

    The map modifier that gives every rare monster a Nemesis modifier is a disaster for Ultimatums. The chaos of every high tier Ultimatum makes it difficult to ensure that problematic rares will be focused down. The dangers of Soul Eater should speak for themselves. The new 'allies can't be damaged' mod, Benevolent Guardian, is an absolute nightmare that you will see much more often than you want to. Volatile Flamebloods are harder to avoid when you're frantically trying to avoid several other deadly mechanics. These mods can stack together as well: it's not uncommon to have a Soul Eater rare grow too much because it was protected by Benevolent Guardian.

    As for whether to risk rewards you have or push onwards, it's good to have litmus tests for survivability. While random sudden deaths can happen, there are signs to watch out for that can help you resist an enticing offer that you would end up losing everything for. My build has an ice golem with 33k hp, fortify, 8%/s regen and extra recovery from Life From Death. It sometimes dies during Ultimatums. Any time it dies, I assume that whatever killed it would probably kill me. I have purposefully ignored this assumption sometimes as an experiment, and died every time the following round. Being sent to less than 20% hp at some point, seeing your flask uptime lower, seeing too many rare monsters on the screen at once - these are all signs that you're pushing your luck if you go on further.

    Let me know if you disagree with any of this advice - I've only played one build after all. I hope it helps some people enjoy the mechanic more.

    Unveiling belts bug, For some reason I'm not getting Armour and Energy shield crafts. Maybe unlucky, but other people in the community who do bench crafts service don't have these crafts as well. I have done over 100+ unveils on belts but to no avail
