    But no one is talking about it! At least from what I can find this is the first time this could happen (for spells, not attacks).

    I cooked up a phys / chaos EK trickster for this league and it's going well but realized that one of the alternate qualities for EK is impale chance. Most of the scaling on the passive tree specifies on attack but some don't (specifically impaler keystone). The replica unique Heartbreaker seems to be designed to be used for this purpose too (impale spell chance). Looks like it's only EK and blade blast.

    Is this a big deal? Why is no one seemingly talking about it. Should I go for it? It probably isn't good but I think it would be unique to say the least.

    The info is still pretty sparse on cluster jewels, can't tell which ones are exclusive from each other, or only spawn on large/medium/small cluster jewels, etc.

    Is there any planner that like lets you give it a list of notables, and it tells you which ones spawn with which other, on and on what sized jewels, or anything like that?

    I was hopping for CoC discharge but it doesn't look super promising. I like build with explosion and shatters. Builds that create music to my ears!

    Build suggestion: STR stacking Shrapnel Ballista

    Hi everyone, I wanted to share a build idea that I've been working on recently. As described in the title, the build uses Shrapnel ballista totems and scales poison damage as a Pathinfinder. It is based on 3 new items introduced in Heist league:

    - Alternate quality Shrapnel Ballista v1: Chains +2 times at 20% quality. Shrapnel Ballista is recognized to have high single target potential, but a clear lack of clearspeed. This alternate quality gem should solve this problem and make clearspeed actually great. Unfortunately the gem is probably rare, there is none for sale at the time I'm writing this post. However it is not mandatory for the build to work. The +2 Pierce version is 50c right now, and it should perform quite well combined with poison prolif.

    - Replica Iron Commander Unique bow (currently 2-3c on Trade): the key line here is "Shrapnel Ballista has +1 to maximum number of Summoned Totems per 200 Strength" (instead of +1 Siege Ballista per 200 Dex for the original version). Therefore the concept of the build is to stack strength to get an absurd number of totems. 1000 strength should be a reasonable goal to achieve on a 1 Ex budget, giving us +5 totems. Iron Commander's main issue is its lack of flat physical damage, but that's where our third item comes in action.

    - Replica Alberon's Warpath (currently 2-3c on Trade, 5-10c for a perfect one): Adds 1 to 80 Chaos Damage to Attacks per 50 Strength. To my knowledge, if you exclude the One with Nothing jewel, this item provides the highest attribute-based damage scaling in the game: 8.1 average added chaos damage per 10 STR, significantly higher than HoWa (5 per 10 attributes), Brutus Lead Sprinkler (5.5 per 10), Hyrri's Demise (1.5 per 10), or Dex/Int stacking rare Bows/Wands (3 per 10). The main downside is that you cannot deal non-chaos damage, and chaos damage is difficult to scale outside of Poison. Hence the best way to make use of is probably by scaling poison damage as a Pathfinder or Assassin.

    At 1000 STR, these two uniques give you +5 totems and 20-1600 added chaos damage to attacks. Now you can spawn 9 ballistas (assuming 3 base, +1 on tree, and +5 from bow), each firing 5-9 projectiles (3 base, +2 Rain of splinters unique jewel, +1 enchant, +2 Dying Sun, +1 quiver), and these projectiles can "shotgun". You also get a ton of Life from stacking STR. And as a poison prolif Pathfinder, which is probably your best option here, each projectile chains +2 times and proliferates poison when ennemies die, so clearspeed should be quite good. Even without the Alt quality gem that does not seem to be accessible right now, your clear should be ok with a Pierce quiver and the poison prolif.

    Note that DPS numbers shown in POB are based on 1 projectile and 1 totem. The low budget version has 15k poison DPS per projectile, or 45k per attack if we assume 3 projectiles hit (out of 5), scaling to 350k after 5 seconds of constant attacking. With 9 totems, that's slightly over 3M Shaper DPS. The mid-high budget version should reach 10M Shaper DPS at full stacks.

    Happy to hear your feedback / suggestions! Unfortunately I'm not playing the league myself right now so I won't be able to test it anytime soon.

    Pacifist heist build

    It seems that running heists without killing enemies is pretty effective. I thought about what builds would be the best for the job obviously rf jug and max Block gladi came to my mind and of course utilising the visibility mechanic seems pretty good for a pacifist play style. I wanted to know if you have any ideas for a more specialised build wich is very focused at tanking?

    A Hexblast discussion

    Hello fellow exiles!

    First and foremost, this is not a "LELGGGSHITBAITNEWSKILLS" post. This is intended as a discussion regarding Hexblast and its avenues.

    Preface:

    Before the league, I was divided between Occ (due to Malediction/Profane bloom) and Hiero (that fat mana shield with agnostic). I eventually decided going the Hiero route, as I have more experience with Agnostic characters and I just like the feeling of being somewhat immortal.

    So, with that in mind, I went ahead and picked up Archmage and have been leveling since then.

    I'm currently 77, running yellow maps with very, very minor issues. Clearing feels good and safe, bossing is sorta... eh.

    As you can see, I'm using vixen's for the auxiliary hex support, I am fully aware they won't trigger doomblast or accumulate doom so we don't need to go crazy on the NOOB IT NO WORK!. My doomblast curse is coming from my weapon.

    Discussion:

    I currently have an approximate 40k tooltip damage on hexblast. With sigil up at max stages, arcane cloak, tooltip goes to about 80k. With the withered stacks on the target, I'm guessing it's blasting for about 100-120k.

    Besides getting an Atziri's Foible/cloak of defiance (to boost mana pool -> archmage damage boost), what do you guys see as options?

    I'm trying an absurd number of things on PoB and I can't seem to push it further than 200k with everything on, all bells and whistles.

    Granted, I'm not familiar with how the conversions work regarding Eye of Malice/EE and that might be something to explore.

    I'm not beyond rerolling an occultist, if we deem it to be more appropriate for hexblast. However, I really feel I'm missing something in terms of scaling and I just can't figure out what.

    So.. let's discuss! Share your findings, let's try to crack this one open and use all the possibilities PoE gives us :)

    Blade Blast - Chieftain or Assassin? Softcore.

    I wanted to start out this league trying to blazing salvo and went with a Hierophant. Im really not impressed and even less with the nerf to Soul Mantle (i know its gonna get un nerfed, but who knows when). I want to try out something i havent tried before and blade blast is one of those.

    Looking at poe.ninja i see most people going Assassin, but most people i have watched play BB have played Chieftain, so im not really sure what to go with.

    What would people suggest in terms of pros and cons of each ascendancy? Thanks!

    Arc + Freezing Pulse Spellslinger Inquisitor, 3.12

    This is a fun build! Clear speed is amazing all the way up to T16s. Arc's chaining can hit around corners and Freezing Pulse pierces everything. Try it, you'll like it -- trust me.

    Here's a little backstory:

    My favorite build of all-time was Arc + Freezing Pulse with The Poet's Pen until the Poet's Pen nerf in 3.6. I fumbled around with different builds for a few leagues, but nothing felt quite as good -- until 3.10 introduced Spellslinger.

    Wow! Arc and Freezing Pulse with Spellslinger felt just as good as it did with dual Pens and does a little more damage at the cost of a slightly slower trigger speed. I can live with that.

    With the 3.12 release, Spellslinger got a nerf to mana reservation so I can no longer run my beloved Herald of Ice with it, but it still feels pretty good. You can run it if you're willing to sacrifice some survivability by switching around 4 points on the tree combined with a level 3 Enlighten.

    Flame Wall vs Fire Trap for single target

    Currently testing the difference between the 2. Was also unsure if Flame Wall is actually supported probably in PoB fork as it only displays 203k dps in 5L and Fire Trap is 1.3mil shaper dps. However, during normal mapping (T7-10 currently) they basically feel the same DPS wise. Flame Wall can also cover more ground than fire trap and don't have to wait for something to trigger it.

    Need help with a build for a friend (Venom Gyre)

    Friend of mine is doing a venom gyre build, and he was following this build here for pob pastebin.
    Main thing we're wondering about is that the build has chain nodes skilled in the ranger tree, yet doesn't seem to have anyway of generating chain.

    I looked around on the wiki/tree and couldn't find anything that would give chain. Thinking that they just used chain support and swapped stuff out but wanted to make sure we weren't just being dumb and missing something else like a gem.

    3.12 Best Tanky Cyclone League-Starter?

    Hi all. Now that 3.12 has been out for a few days, can anyone recommend to me a good league starter cyclone build with a lot of survivability/tankiness? I've seen a few people recommend [3.12]The BLOCKMAN endgame farming build. All content farming (Cheap and tanky)League starter but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. I don't really care about insane clear speeds, I just like being able to facetank through most stuff and not die for my starter then move on to a more specialized build later in the league.

    Heist Bow Build Blasting!

    Missed Opportunity for GGG

    After numerous leagues of mines and minions dominating the meta, combined with GGG introducing 6 new solid looking skills, I feel like this was a really missed opportunity. Most of the feedback thus far has been that the new skills hit like a wet-noodle (at best). My Trixster Hexblast has felt similar (SSF - https://pastebin.com/rMmLqU3v) . I'm just into yellow maps, apart from the clunky gameplay (feels like EDC, only you'd have to wait between the C- and ED - who wants to wait in an ARPG?), I don't see it scaling to either be a solid farmer, nor a boss killer.

    Back to the drawing board I guess.

    I'll go look on poeninja, but in the meantime, who's got a recommendation for something that makes me want to hang around this league?

    Is bane screwed after the tag changes? I've seen it mentioned around and not many people are playing it this league, just wondering if anyone has tried it and how it feels. I'm talking from a SSFHC perspective, so item interactions like vixen gloves being ruined doesnt really affect me, I just mean more in a general sense of low budget and tree scaling, has the spell been hurt much?
