Looking for 2nd build, probably heist oriented

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 02:57 AM PDT

So ive been looking for a second build with some survi and clear(softcore). Currently thinking about lacerate full block bleed glad and some kind of slam. I dont rly know anything about slams, how to create a build or witch one to choose even. I know there are some good guides for HC(alkaizer?), but are there good options for SC? And if i chose lacerate, would dmg be ok for juiced t16s(no delirium)?

Looking for advice on cobra lash assassin

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 02:32 AM PDT

I am looking for a new shadow build because i want to role play as a ninja for heist lol. so i think cobra lash assassin has more or less the right feel.

this is just a plan for now. i am not an expert in pob (and also the game) so i dont know if the numbers are reasonable in practice.

Gear-wise, i only aim for 24 challenges and i dont know much about min-maxing the gears so you can say they are for early to mid game. the tree also needs some optimizing.

    Any Necro suggestions this league?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 03:57 AM PDT

I know it is not a Necro league because of the nerf but since I haven't really playsd necro before i want to try it. Do you have any build suggestions (with guide or pob) that are decent as a league starter (can operate on almost no gear) and can do at least until red maps still after the nerf?

Found this, anyone has experience with this? https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ultimate-raise-spectre-necromancer-build-guide?page=33#comments-paginated

Best ascendancy for Ice Crash facebreaker?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 03:34 AM PDT

I'm considering Inquisitor for the ignored ele resist on crit, or maybe raider for that speed. What would overall be the strongest ascendancy for this?

Wanting to make a strength stacking shrapnel Ballista build, cant decide on the optimal character

Ranger (deadeye), Templar (hiero) or Scion, all seem to have pros and cons and would help in someway, looking some some other thoughts!

    Zoom zoom build

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 11:15 PM PDT

Hey, I'm looking for ideas for fast clearing build for general mapping (maybe delirium later) and ocassional sirus. My budget is currently 6 ex, but I have cheap bl miner so I can make more money. Is there anything solid that I could swap into (preferably shadow)? PS.: I really don't like DoT builds.

    Any melee cold/lightning viking build?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 02:13 AM PDT

Hey, I'm currently running a Shattering Steel build, but I'd like to have my secondary to be some fun mix of cold/lightning melee damage dealer, with two-handed weapon or dual wield, no shield. Do you have any ideas what should I go for, which abilities are fun to use or maybe even have a guide that is reminiscent of some viking warrior?

I have been away from home since league start. Will be logging in later today. Any builds that seem to shine so far? Anything to avoid? I'm not really against any builds. I usually start with a character that goes into high tier maps and will make a good mapper and good boss killer.

    Chase build for 3.12

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 02:05 AM PDT

Wondering what people's predictions are for the chase build this league. I was planning on saving my exalts for an int stacking wander build but it seems like that has been nerfed for this league so I want to see my options.

When I say chase build I mean one of those builds that require 40 or so ex to even get started but have a much higher ceiling than other builds

Looking for easy build to clear game.

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:33 PM PDT

I'm looking for an easy build to play. I'm not looking to do a lot of end game just yet. I'm thinking a summoner build would be what I would like to play. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Where to go after spectres?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:29 PM PDT

So basically, i've been really lucky with currency, not gigalucky but 5ex so far.

I like spectres but it's deff a build I chose because of ease of access.

My only difficulty is finding a build that simply isn't worse.

Blade vortex poison seems nice, but for whatever reason, there are delusions about this spell, either it's the "tankiest" build they ever play, or its a one shot build.

I just don't know, preferably i'd like the build to be able to do everything, but emphasis on being faster than specters, but maintaining decent boss kills, i don't want killing bosses to be a slug fest.

And right now the top 5 builds look rather dreadful

Help with Fulcrum Unique Staff Build

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 12:46 AM PDT

I need some help tuning a elemental conversion build me and a buddy are working on. We are trying to do an inquisitor crit build with the new unique The Fulcrum. Any and all help would be appreciated. Currently we are having trouble with getting more health into the build (125% life) without sacrificing the little damage we have (161K)

Here is the POB code of what we have so far.

    https://pastebin.com/T1NqmnB4

Cyclone- cold to fire, ele damage with attacks, melee phys, additional accuracy, infused channeling

Went with Alira for the crit multi

Only unique requirement is trying to use the Fulcrum to its fullest potential. Thanks.

What are the best poison melee builds atm?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 11:12 PM PDT

Im thinking about playing something poison with glad if possible. I want something max block. Was also thinking about PF, but Im not sure, how reliable it is if I want to have max block after the unique flask changes. Bladestorm is pretty fun to use. Anybody tested it as a poison version? Or what else works in the current patch if I want to have both decent clear and single target? Thanks!

Crest of Desire (helm with +8 levels and +50% quality) theorycrafting

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 10:49 AM PDT

So having a look through potentially strong gems to put in this thing here's my "short"list:

    • Plaguebearer - Maybe the top dog here. 70% alternate quality gets you 35% reduced chaos damage taken while incubating. Combining that with Darkscorn (25% phys taken as chaos), Incandescent heart (25% ele hits taken as chaos, can be corrupted for a further 4-6% reduced chaos taken) and Divine Flesh (50% ele taken as chaos). Hit 80% chaos res, take Soul of Shakari minor for further 5% reduced chaos taken (and 25% reduced chaos dot taken when on caustic ground), can even take Soul of Arakaali major for further 5% reduced DOT taken. End result (without chest corrupt): We mitigate 89% of all incoming chaos hits, 42% OF ALL ELE HITS (compared to just having 75% res), and 22% of all phys hits just for the extra cost of a helmet. Considering that going Divine Flesh + Incandescent Heart + Darkscorn is already a legit defensive combo for a poison bow character, adding Plague Bearer + this helm just makes it far stronger (35% reduced chaos damage taken is huuuge). Link to a pretty budget scourge arrow PF setup - https://pastebin.com/jU61mLWd

    • Decoy Totem - We all saw the new alternate quality on decoy totem, 2% of totem life dealt as physical damage on death per 1% quality. Giving a lvl 21 decoy +8 levels increases its life by about 2.5, worth roughly 3 support gems, and boosting the % death damage from 40% to 140% is also worth about 2 supports. It's practically six linked in that helmet, which may be worth a lot since it's not necessarily easy to boost the damage from normal support gem - hence the relative value of the helm increases. Decoy totem has a 4 sec cooldown, but if you get cdr gear and have a totem limit of 1 or 2 you can despawn your decoy quickly by overwriting it with new totems which don't share a cooldown with it. Just looking at the base numbers without any scaling on tree or gear, a lv 29 decoy totem exploding for 140% of its life would be 22,100 base damage. If you can figure out the scaling, you have the keys to the kingdom. Also pretty meme, which has its own value.

    • Aura stacking - any of Dread Banner, Malevolence, Wrath, Anger, Smite, Precision have interesting possibilities in this helm. Those flat damage auras get pretty gigantic value from +8 levels, nearly doubling their +dmg values. Wrath also has alt quality with 7% reduced mana reserved at 70% quality, which can compensate for not using a -mana res helm in some builds. Anger has 70% burning damage or 17% move speed, smite has 17% increased attack and cast speed (scaling further with aura effect, can end up being a gigantic damage aura for you or your buddy). Dread banner reaches 'nearby enemies have 24% reduced accuracy' and 35% increased aura effect at 70% quality, if you can stack this up to 80%+ or even 100 you can make yourself completely unable to be hit by attacks (bearing in mind area supports and the generic aura aoe you get as an aura build anyway, nothing on screen can touch you with attacks). Precision has an interesting quality, you can get 35% LESS AOE OF ALL YOUR SKILLS. You can probably find strong ways to use this, such as concentrating area effects to overlap like molten strike, firestorm/icestorm, etc. Could be a gigantic dps increase in niche cases. Malevolence seems a bit crazy here, since the alt quality gives it extra increased skill effect duration (globally), so at lvl 29 and 70% you have 59% increased global skill effect duration, scalable by aura effect. Increasing this above 200%, 300% is easily achievable. Spark poison builds (with 100% lightning to chaos on alt qual + enhance), storm burst decay/poison/normal, loads of things get scaled into OBLIVION by this. Fucking nuts IMO.

    • Molten/Vaal molten shell - level 29 molten shell 70% alt qual deals 577k fire damage and penetrates 70% fire res, level 29 vaal molten shell deals 10.4m damage (provided you let it all deplete)

    • Immortal call - 70% alt qual gives you 7% less ele taken per endurance charge consumed (and 7% more phys). If you get high phys mitigation some way, you can reach 10-12 endurance charges depending on gear (precursors and such) so you can get near full ele immunity during immortal call uptime.

    • Zombie minion instability/siegebreaker - Lvl 29 zombies have huge life pools, and 70% alt qual can make them take 70% of their lives as chaos damage for 1 second on spawn. I don't play minions, but depending on chaos res this can make them reach minion instability 35% hp threshold for automatic explosions on summon, or kill themselves for siegebreaker caustic ground. Both of these damaging effects scale from minion hp, so the +8 to levels is big here, and you don't have to use infernal legion or something to make minion instability proc. Maybe cool, who knows

    Boss Killer Build Suggestions

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 10:21 PM PDT

I hope everyone had a great league start! What exclusive boss killers have y'all played and can recommend me? Looking for cheap (1ex) and effective at blowing up a single target. Something I can just log on and off of to kill conquerors and such.

I want to be the least flashy Chieftain

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 10:06 PM PDT

So, Heist is only my 2nd league ever. Played an Scion Elemental hit miner last tier, and it was not an animation heavy build, and I got used to that. I'm a flamewall/blazing salvo totem build atm, and holy god, the crazy flames all over the screen. I can't tell you the number of times I'm died to things because I just couldn't see the enemies casting.

Any chance someone can suggest an ability for a Chieftain that I can switch to (and decent builds exist for), so I can properly see enemies again? Trying really hard not to have to make a new character.
