| Newbie having problems on a build Posted: 18 Nov 2020 01:55 AM PST Hi, I started PoE this week and I am having trouble deciding how many defensive stats I should get. My "build" is a witch (Elementalist) that lays stormblast mines. Currently lvl 45 or so. Kinda strange, I know. So now I clicked a build together.. But I don't know if it is any good. Can somebody please check if there is enough defensive points spent and/or I missed major power spikes? That build is intended to get through the game and maybe some endgame content.The PoE planner url is here (only works for me if copied and pasted manually.. I'll be giving away my character(stone/carrion golem Ele) to help someone get 24 challenges aswell. | Interaction between Perfect Agony and "critical strikes do not deal extra damage" Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:30 PM PST Theory crafting a 100% crit chance poison assassin. Im interested in using Ungil's harmony to achieve the crit, but am having some trouble understanding the inner mechanics. The amulet states that my critical strikes do not deal extra damage, but would that matter when paired with perfect agony? it would imply that my hits deal damage as though my critical strike multiplier is 100%, but its not actually set to 100%. Perfect Agony states that "modifiers to critical strike multiplier also apply to damage over time multiplier for ailments from critical strikes at 50% of their value". The way I understand it, this would have no impact on my damage except lessening the initial hit damage from my strikes. If I use, Maligros virtuosity for example with the amulet and achieve 100% crit, i have 300% crit multi. I will still deal damage with a crit multiplier value of 150% correct? | Aurastacker "sweetspot" budget question Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:45 PM PST Hello everyone, i'm currently trying to build up an aurastacker as final build for heist. The thing is i'm not interested in extreme min-maxing (not that i could afford it anyway), but i also don't want it to be painful in terms of dps and defences to play. My question is, which budget would be roughly required to have a fully functional aurastacker able to clear all content confortably (a8 sirus and juiced delirium maps especially, no delve) without going into min-maxing territory and spending thousands of exs? If anyone has a pob to share i would really appreciate it, unfortunately in poe.ninja most builds are on insane budget. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 18 Nov 2020 03:43 AM PST I have been going for 100 this league with my SO spectre necro starter, got there and farmed up some currency (~650ex + 3hh). So the question is can spectres handle delirium maps or i need to reroll? I want to keep spectre build for bossing, so its either improving current build or making a completely new character. | SC player wants to try HC for the first time Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:16 PM PST since it's the end of the league and i got nothing better to do at the moment. plus with the gauntlet going on, I got excited to finally try HC. I'm still deciding whether to go HC or HCSSF for the full experience? lol But the main thing i need is a solid build that is very (and i mean very) forgiving when it comes to defences and ease of gear. the last thing i want is to keep dying in HC and hate it before i get to love it. I have been farming on a Freeze Pulse Totems build and trying out different builds, but none of them really hits the spot, so to speak. I am mainly looking for something with nice, semi-automated clear and decent boss killing without having to invest 10+ ex just to get started. Edit: thank you for all the ideas. As of now, I am leveling a CoC assassin, and it looks promissing. My next in line will be the miner, but i need to farm more for the ring, because it costs like 1ex. | Elemental hit bow and build in general Posted: 17 Nov 2020 08:04 PM PST I currently own 2 bows. One is a +3 gem +2 arrows thicket bow and the othera +1 arrow quill rain. Which bow would net me more high end dps if I got my hands on at least +2 frostferno? Im also not converting 100%. Im only using the Taming for now since I really need the resists. How much better dmg would I get with pyre/call of the brotherhood? I ran PoB and for me the rare bow wins out but a friend of mine said his quill rain build deals at least a million more than the same rare bow as me? Im confused. I farm mostly Simulacrum on my bleed EQ build, but while I would like to keep farming simulacrum I really don't like the build anymore. I seem to pick builds that look nice, but end up being way to expensive (hi there aura stacker) While it can do 20/20 it's rather boring and req lots of spamming abilities. So I'm looking for something: Can do Simulacrum 20/20 easy Tanky enough to almost never die in Simulacrum Good clear and good single target. Prefer to proc something so either coc or cwc, but perhaps, there are more options. Minion also possible, it's basically needs to be lazy :) Budget if I sell all my stuff is about 70ex [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:02 AM PST https://pastebin.com/cgWd6zzk My current PoB (this character is a wip pls don't judge me) My Ascent From Flesh is supposed to grant me Phasing if ES recharge has begun recently. According to my PoB and character sheet, my recharge is a paltry 29/s after 2s but it's not the number's I need, it's the recharge. I am also using Devouring Diadem that grants me Eldritch Battery, but according to the wiki that should leave ES recharge to function normally. If I get phasing, I start shooting knives everywhere. I have tested every way possible to drain my ES and have it "recharge" and it has never once granted me Phasing under any circumstances. It steadily recharges at what looks like 29/s, but there is no delay and this seems like normal ES regen, not the delay then big zoom normally associated with *recharge*. My ES Regen is a solid 0 - however regen isn't what I'm looking for, it's very specifically worded as "recharge". I would love to figure out why this isn't happening, any help appreciated!! Is my mana regen somehow stopping it from recharging due to Eldritch Battery? EDIT: It is EB that's doing it. Also, me being dumb helps. From the wiki: Energy shield will automatically begin to recharge if the character does not take any damage for a certain period of time. Spending energy shield with Blood Magic, Eldritch Battery or sacrifice mechanic (for life this mechanic can be found on, for example, Rathpith Globe or Dark Pact) does not count as taking damage. SO unless I have MoM so the ES actually takes damage, ES regen never actually occurs for me. This line in the Eldritch Battery page makes this seem like it's not an issue " Taking life damage or spending energy shield on skill cost will not interrupt energy shield recharge." but actually describes the issue perfectly. ES no longer interacts with damage, and thusly regen is....always active, so it never begins? Something like that. Either way, time to find a new belt! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Looking for a fun build to respec my shadow into Posted: 17 Nov 2020 04:56 PM PST Ive tried alot of builds in Heist and I can't stick to anything (BS Mines,RF,Soulrend,Flicker,Cyc,Totems) I think I want something fresh and exciting that mainly excels in boss damage, clear does not have to be too strong. Ive been having fun on my Totem Marauder but my Shadow is just gathering dust, I like alot of DoT stuff and melee but ive been going out of my comfort zone this league. I don't want to go Low Life though or switch to necro, just to put that out there lol. Also, I know I might need cooldown on my gear, but I'm not sure how much and if it's even worth it since the spellslinger nerf. Currently I have about 19 ex. I've heard about people playing with spellslinger, is this the best way or would it be better to self cast and use more auras and stuff? Does it need lots of aoe investment to feel good?
